DESCRIPTION:
Designed specifically for use with the 5100 Series Communications System, these call switches are used to
notify the 5100 system that a call has been placed from a remote location. When activated, a verification tone is sent to
the associated intercom speaker confirming call placement and the appropriate administrative phone begins ringing. The
V-2971 & V-2970 call switches are provided with a built in volume control that adjust intercom and paging levels at the
associated speaker location.
The Valcom V-2971 consists of a momentary push button and volume control mounted on a single gang stainless steel
plate with “CALL” screened on the faceplate.
The V-2970 consists of two momentary push buttons and volume control mounted on a single gang stainless steel plate.
The red button has “EMERGENCY” screened above the button and the black button has “CALL” screened below it.
The Valcom V-2972 consists of a momentary rocker push button with “CALL” screened onto the button. The switch is
mounted on a single gang stainless steel plate. It is designed for applications where volume control is provided by speaker
taps, as when using 25-volt speakers.

The call switch shall be a momentary pushbutton switch with a .5" square black plastic cap mounted on a brushed stainless
steel plate. A screwdriver set volume control shall be provided to allow audio level adjustment of externally connected 45-ohm
speakers. The unit shall be compatible with single gang electrical boxes.
V-2970
The "Normal" call switch shall be a momentary pushbutton style switch with a .5" square Black plastic cap. The "Emergency"
call switch shall be a momentary pushbutton style switch with a .5" square Red plastic cap. A pulse generator shall be provided
as part of the call station to convert a single press of the red emergency button to the four closures, required to generate an
"Emergency" Class of service call. The call station shall be line powered. A screwdriver set volume control shall be provided to
allow audio level adjustment of externally connected 45-ohm speakers.

The call switch shall be a momentary spring return rocker switch mounted on a brushed stainless steel plate. The white rocker
switch shall be 7/8" H x 3/4" W with the word "CALL" screen printed in black letters.
The units shall be compatible with single gang electrical boxes. Dimensions shall be 4.5" (11.43 cm) W x 2.75" (6.99 cm) H x
2.125" (5.4 cm) D and the unit shall weigh 1.0 lbs. (.45 kg).
VALCOM LIMITED WARRANTY
Valcom, Inc. warrants its products only to the original purchaser, for its own use, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under
conditions of normal use and service for a period of one year from the date of shipment. This Limited Warranty obligation shall be limited to the
replacement, repair or refund of any such defective device within the warranty period, provided that:
1. inspection by Valcom, Inc. indicates the validity of the claim;
2. the defect is not the result of damage, misuse or negligence after the original shipment;
3. the product has not been altered in any way or repaired by others and that factory sealed units are unopened (a service charge plus parts
and labor will be applied to units defaced or physically damaged);
4. freight charges for the return of products to Valcom are prepaid;
5. all units ‘out of warranty’ are subject to a service charge. The service charge will cover minor repairs (major repairs will be subject to
additional charges for parts and labor).
This Limited Warranty is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties, expressed or implied and in no event shall Valcom, Inc. be
liable for any anticipated profits, consequential damages, loss of time or other losses incurred by the buyer in connection with
the purchase, operation, maintenance, installation, removal or use of the product. The maximum liability of Valcom under this
warranty is limited to the purchase price of the specific Product covered by the warranty.
Disclaimer. Except for the Limited Warranty provided herein, the product is provided “as-is” without any warranty of any kind whatsoever
including, without limitation, any WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
This warranty specifically excludes damage incurred in shipment. In the event a product is received in damaged condition, the carrier should be
notified immediately. Claims for such damage should be filed with the carrier involved in accordance with the F.O.B. point.
