WHAT IS THE KidWind PROJECT (REcharge)? WHAT QUALIFIES US TO TEACH ABOUT RENEWABLE ENERGY? At REcharge Labs, we seek to engage and inspire today’s students to become the innovative renewable energy leaders of tomorrow. Buchanan County ISU Extension and Outreach staff have attended the required REcharge Trainings which provided us with what we should know about teaching renewable energy, including; Our mission is to provide effective hands-on learning resources that bring renewable energy education to teachers and their students worldwide. • • • Experienced: We are backed by 12 years of experience providing educators the knowledge and tools to successfully teach intimidating energy concepts. Broad reaching: REcharge/KidWind projects have been executed in all 50 US States and internationally, reaching over 700,000 students and more than 12,000 teachers. Trusted: Committed to and trusted by teachers as the best resource for renewable energy classroom solutions. REcharge Labs was developed out of the educator training program from the KidWind Project. REcharge Labs builds off of the expertise, resources, and tools that KidWind developed in order to focus on training educators about all renewables (not just wind power). Over the course of the next year, KidWind will rebrand into REcharge Labs, although we will be the same people doing the same kind of work.
