HEALTHCARE
This programme is an intensive 13 week course to prepare learners for employment in the service support sectors. The industry required qualification will provide
the practical and theory components for care giving in either resthome/residential
or home based/community. Learners have two days work experience in the resthome and three days in a purpose built classroom at Feats.

SERVICE INDUSTRIES
HOSPITALITY & RETAIL
This 13 week programme is designed to prepare participants for full time employment in the hospitality or retail industries. The programme focuses on gaining key industry skills and NZQA credit achievements in these fields. Work
readiness is also a key focus of this programme (CV, presentation, interviewing
techniques and job hunting/seeking skills).

This 26 week programme is tailored individually to each learner and covers
basic office functions such as customer service skills, basic office accounting
and computing. It is aimed at preparing learners for a return to the workforce. Full and part time places are available and work experience is a part
of the programme.

KEYSTONES
GOALS
GOALS is a 26 week programme tailored individually to each learner, focusing on building literacy and numeracy skills with the aim of preparing individuals for a return to the workforce. Full and part time places are available

NCEA
NCEA is a youth programme for 16 and 17 year olds. Literacy and maths is
a strong focus of the programme and together with other activities, create a
varied and effective approach. The primary aim of the programme is to
prepare learners for higher levels of learning (e.g. apprenticeships, vocational training, university etc).

LEARNING — DIAGNOSIS, ADVICE AND SUPPORT
We provide confidential professional and specialised assessment to schools,
parents and employers of children, teenagers and adults with possible learning difficulties.

Post Graduate Diploma in Special Learning Disabilities, National Certificate
in Adult Literacy Education with a background as qualified teacher and psychometrist)

AUTOMOTIVE
Automotive is a youth programme for 16 and 17 year olds. The programme provides learners with the opportunity to gain an entry level qualification in the automotive field, while also completing their NCEA Level 1 and/or 2. Learners will
work towards gaining knowledge and skills for further training and future employment in this industry. The programme also assists learners to work towards an
apprenticeship in the Certificate in Automotive Engineering, and works in conjunction with MITO, MTA and LTA.

Kowhai Lodge
Kowhai Lodge is a custom-built and fitted training centre that houses a furniture/building trades workshop, computing rooms, study rooms, learner and staff

fully assess and assist you to overcome learning problems. Learners are able
to access 100 hours of free literacy and
numeracy specialist services providing they are a New Zealand citizen or
resident.

Building Trades Skills is a youth programme for 16 and 17 year olds. The
programme provides learners with the opportunity to gain credit achievements and skills in the general building trades while also completing NCEA

for further training and future employment in the trades industry.

EXTERNAL EVALUATION & REVIEW OF FEATS
FEATS achieved an NZQA EER report rating of Confident in
September 2011 for the key areas of Educational Performance and
Organisational Capability in Self Assessment, resulting in a provider
category rating of PC2 (1 being highest, 4 being lowest).
Mini vans are available to get our learners to various sites. A
travel subsidy is also available for learners who live outside the van
area.
Meeting spaces are available to hire by arrangement at all
campuses for seminars, workshops or board meetings.
