CHEMICAL REACTIVITY:
Amorphous boron is a fine powder which oxidizes slowly at room
temperature. Therefore, it should be kept in filled, air-tight containers.
If blended with oxidizing materials, it may be sensitive to heat and
impact. Keep drums away from heat and humidity.
STABILITY:
It is stable except as noted above.

FIRE HAZARD &
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:
Can be ignited by flame. To extinguish, use an inert powder that does not
contain oxygen. Suitable choices include powdered graphite, soda ash,
powdered sodium chloride or approved class "D" fire extinguisher. Keep
drums cool. Dust can be a fire and explosion hazard.

Wash thoroughly with running water for 15 minutes. Obtain medical

Wash contaminated area of body with soap and water. Get medical
attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion:
Obtain medical attention.
NOTE TO PHYSICIANS:
Antidote for excessive ingestion or absorption: large intravenous doses
of isotonic salt solution and plasma.
PRECAUTIONS FOR NORMAL USE:
No special precaution. Keep work area clean and encourage personal
cleanliness. Avoid inhalation, direct skin contact and ingestion.
THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE:
Nuisance particulate level is 10mg/m of total dust or 5mg/m breathable
dust.
RECOMMENDED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
Dust respirator if dust concentration is above threshold limit value.
Rubber or similar heavy duty material gloves. Safety glasses or goggles
are necessary for full eye protection.
STORAGE:
Keep in air-tight container. Keep away from flame, heat and moisture.
Always replace and securely close lid of drum immediately after use.

water to sewer.
