Aphos Roadway is a new energy-efficient line of
TM
built-to-last LED luminaires available for
mounting to poles. Ideal applications include
roadways, parking lots and the top decks
of parking garages. Aphos offers a variety of
illumination levels, color temperatures, controls and
accessories that are ideal for outdoor applications.
Modular custom optics effectively focus light on the task
while reducing unwanted glare.
Specification Features
Construction
Reliability
A combination of die-casting and extruded aluminum construction
provide both durability and superior heat management. Installation
and maintenance are facilitated by a field replaceable driver and
surge protector. The IP65 rated construction offers superior protection
against environmental factors such as water, insects and dirt, as
well as against the demands of routine maintenance and cleaning.
Silicone gaskets and UV-stabilized acrylic lenses help ensure a long
service life and consistent performance.
Unique to Aphos luminaires is a patented dynamic air flow thermal
management design. Thermal convection draws air flow through
the specially designed heat sink structure where a chimney effect
is created to accelerate air flow. By increasing airflow above
what is typical for heat sink structures, the LED case and junction
temperatures are lowered to provide greater reliability and superior
lumen maintenance. Extensive product testing has been conducted
to ensure the effectiveness of this unique design in protecting
the product and its components from heat, vibration and water
intrusion.
Mounting
Special arm mounting assemblies are available for mounting
to poles. The internal mount accepts a 2-3/8” O.D. mounting
end, and a four-bolt clamping mechanism secures the arm to the
luminaire. Cast-in leveling guides provide 2.5° step increments
for +/- 5° vertical leveling adjustment. All Aphos luminaires also
feature quick connects and disconnects, wire strain relief and
minimal tool entry for easy installations and maintenance.
Optics
Modular custom optics provide light on task and maximize optical
transmission efficiency. The Aphos luminaire provides a variety
of optical distribution patterns, including Type II, IIA, III and V
configurations, to provide the level of light required for a specific
application.
Electrical
The LED driver mounts to the aluminum extrusion housing for
optimal heat management. Aphos comes standard with a
replaceable surge protector rated to 10kV/10kA of transient line
surge. As a result of these exclusive features, Aphos is suitable for
-35°C to 40°C ambient conditions. The driver adapts to a variety
of voltage ranges and is 0-10V dimming capable, which is not
only energy-efficient but also provides an array of light levels to
adapt to numerous applications.
Finish
An enduring powder-coated finish provides long-term protection
against ultraviolet light and chipping. Available in multiple color
options, including white, black, silver and bronze.
