Please remove this summary from the service bulletin and give it to the flight crew. This summary is informational only and does not supersede any information in the FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual. • The completion of Pratt & Whitney Canada Service Bulletin PW500-72-30290 will correct the flameout condition that occurs when the engine is decelerated below 70% N2. • The transition from electronic engine control mode to manual mode causes a sudden drop in fuel pressure. • The drop in pressure causes the fuel pressure to be less than the deceleration minimum fuel flow limit. • The new hydromechanical fuel control unit has improved internal sealing which eliminates the pressure drop when transitioning between auto and manual modes.
