Altoona UC Center SPECIFICATIONS Ductless Split Heat Pump Systems, 12,000 BTU Units & 15,000 BTU Units General The supplier shall provide Ductless Split Heat Pump Systems, 5 (five) each 12,000 BTU units and 4 (four) each 15,000 BTU units. 5 (five) of the units shall require external condensate pumps. The system shall consist of a compact, wall mounted indoor fan coil section with wireless remote controller and a slim horizontal discharge outdoor unit which shall be of an inverter driven heat pump design. The units shall be rated in accordance with Air-conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute’s (AHRI) Standard 240 and marked with the AHRI Certification label. The units shall be wired in accordance with the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.). A dry air holding charge shall be provided in the indoor unit. The system efficiency shall a minimum of 20 SEER when part of a 1:1 (indoor/outdoor) system. Indoor Unit The indoor unit shall be factory assembled, wired and run tested. The unit shall have a self-diagnostic function, time delay mechanism and an auto restart function after power interruption. The indoor fan shall have a minimum of four (4) speed setting. The return air shall be filtered by a minimum of one (1) filter. The unit coil shall be of nonferrous construction with smooth plate fins on copper tubing. The electrical power shall be a minimum 208-230 volts, 1-phase, 60 hertz. The unit shall have a wireless and wired wall mounted remote controller. Outdoor Unit The outdoor unit shall be specifically designed to work with the indoor unit. The outdoor unit shall be completely factory assembled, piped and wired. The unit shall be furnished with a direct drive propeller type fan. 1 Altoona UC Center The unit fan motor shall be a direct current (DC) motor and shall include permanently lubricated bearings. The fan motor shall be mounted for quiet operation. The fan shall include a raised guard to prevent contact with moving parts of the unit. The unit coil shall be of nonferrous construction with lanced or corrugated plate fins on copper tubing. The unit shall be pre-charged with sufficient R-410A refrigerant. All refrigerant lines between the outdoor and indoor units shall be of annealed, refrigerant grade copper tubing, ARC Type, meeting ASTM B280 requirements and individually insulated. The compressor motor shall be a direct current (DC) type equipped with a factory supplied and installed inverter drive package. The unit shall be equipped with an accumulator and internal thermal overload protection. The unit shall be placed at least 10 feet above ground level. Must raise three (3) existing outdoor units to same height as newly installed units. The compressor shall have a warranty of seven(7) years from date of installation. Include 1 year maintenance in addition to standard warranty coverage on new units.
