In Summer School 2015 Arlington Independent School District Grades 9-12 Summer Calendar ALL REGISTRATION WILL BE HELD AT INDIVIDUAL HOME CAMPUSES Pre-registration date(s) will be announced at each high school campus throughout the month of May. Please check with your counselor for those dates. Thursday, June 11 Friday, June 12 Registration-1st & 2nd Sessions (Regular & Accelerated) 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 First Regular Summer and Accelerated Sessions Begin held on individual home Thursday, July 9 First Regular Summer and Accelerated Sessions End campuses. Monday, July 6 Tuesday, July 7 Wednesday, July 8 Registration for Second Sessions 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Locations All regular and accelerated summer sessions will be Transportation will be provided for Venture and Newcomer students only. Monday, July 13 Second Regular Summer and Accelerated Sessions Begin Wednesday, August 5 Second Regular Summer and Accelerated Sessions End Attendance Requirements Tuition $150 per half credit Only students enrolling in classes that do not make will receive a refund. Students withdrawn from summer school for attendance or discipline reasons will not receive a refund. Full payment must be made upon registra- tion. The required hours of attendance are mandated by the Texas Education Agency. One unexcused absence is grounds for immediate withdrawal. (Students are not excused to attend ANY type of camp, family reunion or vacation.) No refund is given for students that are withdrawn for attendance reasons. The code of conduct applies to all summer school programs, and students removed for disciplinary reasons will not receive a refund. Refunds are only given when a class does not make. Program is solely for in-district students. Students must live with a parent in Arlington. Course approval forms must be signed by a counselor/principal and a parent/guardian in order to register. Regular Summer Sessions Monday through Friday (18 days) 7:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. 2 (10 min.) breaks Accelerated Summer Sessions Monday through Friday (18 days) 7:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m. 2 breaks and a 30 minute supervised lunch Students are required to bring a sack lunch.
