Earn Credits, Gain Work Experience, Improve Skills REACH AHEAD & MAKE UP COURSE INFORMATION In-Class Summer School Dates: Wednesday, July 6th – Thursday, July 28th, 2016 The Reach-ahead program provides an opportunity for students to supplement and enrich their secondary education by acquiring a credit in July. Students who passed but want to upgrade their mark may choose to repeat a course in the reach-ahead program. Make-up courses enable students who have not been successful during the regular school year to obtain the credit by repeating the course. REACH AHEAD & MAKE_UP REGISTRATION DATES Reach Ahead Courses: Monday, May 2nd to Friday, June 10th, 2016 Make-Up Courses: Monday, May 2nd to Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 - OCDSB students will register through Career Cruising. For more information, please contact the Guidance Counselor at your Day School. - Non-OCDSB Day-school students can pick up the summer school registration form from their Guidance Counselor. Registration forms must be approved and signed by the Principal or Guidance Counselor of Non-OCDSB day school students. NOTE: To avoid registration issues, it is strongly encouraged for a student status sheet or credit counselling summary to be provided along with the registration form for Non-OCDSB students. - Adult Students not in a Day School must register for Summer School through the Continuing Education Advisor between May 2nd and June 10th, 2016. If a student fails to return the book or returns the book in poor condition, the student will be billed directly the full cost of the textbook. For Adult students there is a refundable $80.00 textbook fee payable by cash or post-dated cheque. International Student Fees: A fee is required for all international and out-of-province students. The fee for a Summer School reachahead course is $500. The fee for a Summer School make-up course is $250.
