Spelling & Vocabulary Words for Unit 3 Week 1
Please study the circled spelling list. The spelling test will be on Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Spelling words can
also be found on the spelling city website. www.spellingcity.com/JESGRADE5 The vocabulary words can also be
found in the Reading Writing Workshop (RWW) book on pages 164-165. These words are also available on the
Reading Wonders website. The login information was sent home in the previous VIP. Students do not need to
memorize the definition. They need to be able to use the words and know the synonyms and antonyms for each
word. There are games/activities for both the spelling and vocabulary words on the Reading Wonders website.
For a review of our weekly skills, please use pages 170-173 in our Reading
Writing Workshop (RWW) book.

