be insulated. All insulation is intended to be spaced no less than
4 inches from the sides of the fixture. Insulation is not intended

be provided over the top of the fixture. The recessed enclosure
(other than at points of support) is intended to be spaced at least
1/2 inch from combustible material.

the fixture. Follow this three-step process to the

How to Install Retrofit Mounting Plate & Wiring Kit
How to Install WireMold Ready Option
Step 1: Drill or punch 3/16"
hole 1/2" from end of wiremold
track for mounting and electrical
ground.
Step 3: Make wire connections
in accordance with National
Electrical Code.
Step 2: Secure wiremold track
to raised boss on cast plate or to
ballast mounting plate with screw
provided to insure connection.

Step 1: Remove existing trim,
reflector system and lamp.
Step 4: Install gaskets on back of
baseplate and secure baseplate
to mounting plate studs.
Step 2: Install medium base adpt.
screw shell with quick connect.
Step 5: Make wire connections
in accordance with National
Electrical Code.
Step 3: Pull wires through center
hole of mounting plate and
secure mounting plate to surface.
Be certain to utilize four-point
mounting (hardware by others).
Step 6: Install lens and caulk
perimeter of base plate, mounting
plate and mounting surface.
Step 4: Caulk wiremold entryway
to eliminate light leaks and
prevent dirt and insects from entering fixture.

Custom signage and logo outlines can be precision cut into the eyelids of the above products.
The image, illuminated from behind, creates a unique and memorable display. CNC programmable
technology ensures a clean, consistent quality.
The intent of this publication is to facilitate the selection of the appropriate lighting fixture and
provide a means of preparing your design concept for a feasibility review, customer approval and
production.
First, consult the Dimensional Data section to select the correct fixture size (13" or 17") and
installation type (Surface/Low Profile, Semi-Recessed or Surface/Deep Profile).
Second, consult the Ordering Information section to locate the correct specification sheet and
construct the catalog number.
Finally, consult the Design Criteria section to prepare your custom signage or logo design for a feasibility review by Kenall’s design
department.

When you have completed the three-step process, submit your catalog number and design proposal to Kenall’s Customer Service
Department. Upon receipt of your submission you will be contacted to discuss the feasibility of your design.
You may request a line drawing, rendered drawing or sample for your approval.
