Direct IP Connectivity
The Chubb AFx™ Control Panel is the corner stone
of the AFx™ integrated security management system,
combining intrusion detection, fire detection, access
control, and networked security management. The
control panel holds all user and system information
and contains a rechargeable back-up power source,
ensuring independent operation even in the event of
AC failure.
KEYPAD OR SOFTWARE CONTROL
Each AFx™ control panel can be configured entirely
using either the LCD keypad module or Director
software. The AFx™ LCD Keypad is a complete
configuration and diagnostics tool: AFx™ application
modules feature a spare connection designed to allow
a technician to service and configure the control panel
without disconnecting other modules.
256 LOCAL / 15,380 NETWORKED INPUT POINTS
Each AFx™ control panel can control up to 256
input points, expandable to 15,380 via multiple panel
connectivity. Each input point can be configured to
support one of four circuit characteristics which can be
fully customized (including custom resistance values).
The panel also monitors 16 status conditions such as
low battery and loss of phone line.
UP TO 24 APPLICATION MODULES
The Chubb AF™ control supports up to 24 fully
supervised application modules for system expansion.
This architecture provides flexibility in any application,
whether centralized or distributed installation of
system modules is required.
EXPANDABLE AND SCALABLE
The Chubb AFx™ control can be expanded at any
time to increase input/output support, & access
and elevator control, high security communications,
wireless sensing devices & suite security. Up to sixty
Chubb AFx controls can be connected to act as a
single system : Director Security Management software
simplifies the process of administering the system as
well as initial setup & programming.
UP TO 64,000 USERS
Memory can be added to each Chubb AFx™ panel to
increase user support to a maximum of 64,000 (this
also increases event buffer support to over 65,000
time and date stamped events in a non-volatile buffer
with a minimum storage time of ten years).
ACCESS CONTROL UP TO 1,920 DOORS
Each Chubb AFx™ control panel can be expanded
to support access control, capable of supporting up
to 32 doors or elevator cabs per panel. Multiple panel
connectivity increases system door capacity to 1,920.
DIRECT IP CONNECTIVITY
Each AFx™ panel can be connected directly to an IP
based network with the optional HSC-IP module for
fully secure, supervised IP event transmission to the
Chubb Edwards monitoring centre: the module also
provides connectivity to the Chubb AFx™ system
through the premises’ network for the purpose of
control & configuration with Director software.
