For the large industry of transport and ski
roof boxes, Senoplast has developed
special ABS plastic composites with acrylic
or ASA surfaces which meet high requirements within the international automotive
industry. Different tailor-made qualities with
special mechanical properties and increased UV resistance set new bench-marks in
respect of loading and durability. The end
products are regularly subjected to various
toughness tests by international automotive
clubs. Also in the „City Crash Test“ to
ISO/PAS 11154,

For some years now, a clear trend towards
weight reduction has been recognised
within the luggage industry. Whereas
previously, a suitcase could weigh up to
7 kg (injection moulded PP case), this is
now unthinkable. Through the great rise in
cheap airlines and their clearly stricter rules
in respect of luggage weight, it is important
for passengers to use a case weighing as
little as possible.
Here
CC100-1C and
CC100-1CM find their
made-to-measure application area. Due to
their extremely high impact strength, these
co-extruded PC sheets offer our customers
the possibility of using very thin sheets for
suitcases and by doing this, reduce the
case weight significantly.
Also cases in other areas of application, for
example, musical instruments, laptops or
tools can be manufactured from
. Dependent on their
requirements, our customers use ABS,
PC or even a blend of ABS/PC.
Senoplast emphasizes this by giving a
statement of conformity to ISO/PAS 11154
for every roof box product.

AM50 SOLAR EG
Composites
Co-extruded and coloured ABS/PMMA multi-layer composites have been used successfully
for years for the most varying applications in external use.
They can be distinguished by their high gloss surface (Class A) and are also available with a
silk-matt surface in solid or metallic colours and in embossed versions.
AS50/55U EG
Co-extruded and coloured ABS/ASA multi-layer composite with machine smooth or embossed
surface. AS composites can be distinguished by their good UV stability and a high chemical
resistance.
AA50/44U-10 EG
Co-extruded ABS sheets with a UV stabilised surface. These composite sheets are used, for
example, for the base sheets of summer roof boxes and ski boxes as they are not subjected to
any severe weathering influence.

CC100 – 1C
Co-extruded and coloured polycarbonate multi-layer composite in solid colours are used for the
production of thin-wall hard shell suitcases. Due to extremely high impact strength, an extremely
robust case shell can be produced using very thin sheets and these meet maximum weight
requirements.
CC100 – 1CM
Co-extruded and coloured polycarbonate multi-layer composites in metallic colours are used for
the production of thin-walled hard shell suitcases. By means of specially developed colouration
techniques, we can produce high gloss, brilliant colours which still meet impact strength
requirements in very thin sheets.
AA50/44U-10 EG
Co-extruded high impact ABS sheets which are
used for „special cases“ which are not used in flight
applications. These can be supplied in various colours
and embossing patterns.

vacuum-formable, coloured plastics has been established
