Blue
LED FreeForm (unjacketed tape light) gives you varying performance levels ranging from 3528 LEDs
every 1.3” to 5050 LEDs every 0.65”. Illuminate hard to reach and hidden areas such as shelving,
stairs, task areas, and other smaller scaled or limited access areas with ease. Available in both
Ultra Warm White (2400K) and White (5000K) color temperatures.

What’s the difference between 3528 and 5050 SMD LEDs?
3528 LEDs are smaller (measuring 3.5mm x 2.8mm) and are made of a single chip while 5050 LEDs
measure 5.0mm x 5.0mm and have three times the light output of 3528 LEDs! The tri-chip construction
of the 5050 LEDs allows higher color rendering ability than 3528 or 2835 LED products on the market.

Fixtures by design
Extrusions for tape light allow you to house, protect, and align your LED tape light
exactly how and where you want it. A strong aluminum construction in a variety of
profiles provides a direct shield that dissipates heat and provides versatility for all
applications such as kitchens, foyers, garden accents, curio cabinets, as well as in
between stone driveway pavers and grout-lines in bathrooms.

The Single Stant Extrusion requires a 1-3/16” width and 1/4” height for installation. The sloped shoulders
arch to the mounting surface on both sides, offering a strong presence with a tailored look. Use for
applications such as accent lighting, display shelving and cases, as well as niche or exterior lighting. The
frosted polycarbonate lens is flame retardant and provides UV protection. Use End Caps made of durable
polypropylene to finish the look. Use a small bit to drill a power lead hole where required. Standard
assembly listed offers IP20 protection; Use a neutral cure silicone sealant at each end and along each
side of lens for IP65 rating. Mounting suggestions: Secure using construction adhesive, 3M® double-sided
adhesive tape, or slide or clip onto #4 sheet metal screws set 26.5mm apart (screw head 4-5mm Ø). See
pages 28-31 for installation tips and suggestions.
IP65 Capable
The Triple Stant Extrusion requires an ample clearance of 2-3/8” width and 3/8” height for installation.
The sloped shoulders arch more quickly to the mounting surface than the Single Stant, but still form a
finished, tailored look. Use for applications where lots of light is needed, such as under cabinet and work
counters. Three frosted polycarbonate lenses will conceal 1-3 rows of LED FreeForm, providing UV
protection. End caps made of durable polypropylene finish the look. Standard assembly listed offers IP20
protection; Use a neutral cure silicone sealant at each end and along each side of lens for IP65 rating.

The impressive Turbo Extrusion with lens and end caps resembles a low profile T5 luminaire when it is
assembled. It allows two side-by-side rows of LED FreeForm to fit in its generous base boosting light
output and increasing coverage area. Allow a 1” high and 1-1/16” wide clearance for either the rounded
or squared lens style. Use for areas where covered sources make sense, such as food prep areas, closets,
workshops and offices. End Caps made of durable polypropylene finish the look. Standard assembly listed
offers IP20 protection; Not designed for outdoor use. Mounting suggestions: Secure using construction

made of high quality polycarbonate material. Use End Caps made of durable polypropylene to finish the
look. Standard assembly listed offers IP20 protection; Use a neutral cure silicone sealant at each end and

The Economy 45 Extrusion hides in small spaces where a wash of light is needed. Right angled mounting
areas need 3/4” clearance on both sides to accommodate the extrusion. Common applications include
cabinets, display cases, shelving, and art niches. Polypropylene lens is included, however polycarbonate
lenses (sold separately) offer best UV protection. Use End Caps made of durable polypropylene to finish
the look. Standard assembly listed offers IP20 protection; Use a neutral cure silicone sealant at each end
and along each side of lens for IP65 rating. Mounting suggestions: Secure using E-CLIP-45 Mounting

The Helm Extrusion is designed for outdoor applications, such as building facades, terraces, and path
markings; and for tile floors. Designed to withstand standard loads with a frosted polycarbonate lens for
UV protection. Lens does not clip/slide in like other extrusions and must be secured using a silicone
sealant. Use End Caps made of durable polypropylene to finish the look. Standard assembly listed
offers IP20 protection; Use a neutral cure silicone sealant at each end and along each side of lens for
IP65 rating. For use in environments where wet surfaces would exist, such as bathrooms and pool areas.
Mounting suggestions: Secure using a construction adhesive or ceramic glue. See pages 28-31 for

heavy loads, special order products may be needed such as polystyrene foam board, sealants, or

The Paver premium extrusion is durable and sturdy, resistant to static loads up to 4,000 pounds when
installed over a polystyrene base foam board and professionally sealed. The best suited applications are
outdoor sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, building facades, terraces and patios. Frosted polycarbonate

Turbo
A: American Lighting does not recommend covering a jacketed product like LED FlexForm
tape light. You can use jacketed tape light with extrusions and forego the lens or utilize an
extrusion such as the Turbo that has a larger lens clearance so the tape light jacket doesn’t
touch the lens. This is a good way to incorporate a heat sink into any installation to optimize the life of the LEDs.
Q: Is there another option for powering tape light when the CONKIT doesn’t fit
inside of the extrusion I want to use?
