Project is in collaboration of PNEC-NUST and Pakistan International Airlines
(PIA). The Project will enhance your industrial / research exposure and will offer
an opportunity to earn stipend/tuition fee waiver.

C. Description of the Change Request:
Two positions for undergraduate (UG) students are allocated for the project in the budget.
Change request is to hire six undergraduate students instead of two undergraduate
students with effect from the project commencement date. Two students would be paid
only tuition fee and stipend of Rs 10,000 would be divided among rest of four
undergraduate students.
D. Justification:
The change will increase the size of team. Productivity will be increased through division
of assigned tasks among more team members. Moreover more students would get the
exposure and training in the area of aerospace nondestructive testing. Keeping in view a
very less number of skilled NDT work force available in Pakistan, opening the opportunity
to more students would also fill the present vacuum.
The change form is raised after the monitoring manager’s feedback on project

Stabilization Control for a Rotary Inverted Pendulum by using LQR and Fuzzy Logic Controller- An
Educational Comparison.
Dual Speed 3-Axis motorized manipulator for positioning of electrodes with micrometer precision for patch
clamp apparatus
Patch Clamp current amplifier: for the detection, processing and recording of ultra low current from living cells.
Traffic Signal: The project was on PCB and it consist four led`s. Three shows signal lights and one led shows the
breaking. A decade counter IC is used and timing of led is controlled through potentiometer.
MOS based Amplifier: A simple project made on breadboard. NMOS transistor was used which just amplify the
sound signal and the result was shown on oscilloscope.
Metal Alarming Conveyer Belt and Counter: This project gets the 3 rd position on SPEC `08. An object was
placed on the conveyer belt which not only counts the objects but also detect that whether an object was metallic or
not. The counting of an object in done through PLC.

Optical fiber to the backend of the wireless mesh network (WMN) is a need of today. Fiber gives high data rate
which results in congestion at the wireless routers. Different routing algorithms and cloud services need to be
improved for proper integration of fiber with the wireless.
 Open Flow Protocol with IPV6(literature review)
A non-proprietary protocol at layer 2 in which a controller is controlling number of dumb switches. These dumb
switches make a flow table, match the arrived packet and forward it according to the destination. It is observed as
the packet size increases throughput also increases.IPV6 packets giving a better result as they carry jumbo grams as
compare to IPV4 packets

Digital Telephone Exchange Setup (GSM based):
In this project, we have designed and implemented a digital telephone exchange in which a mobile
phone or GSM module is interfaced with the exchange. All incoming and outgoing calls are made

Rs 200,000 only are approved in the budget for 02 data acquisition cards (NI USB 6211)
of unit price 100,000 only.
Now the price has changed. Lowest price quote for unit price is Rs 1, 77,000/- only. The
quotations are attached.
Therefore, it is requested to allow purchase of only one card from the allocated amount.
D. Justification:
The price was acquired back in early 2012, when the project proposal was conceived.
Now the price has increased by OEM. The currency (US $) rate has also increased. Similarly
the freight charges, custom charges, sales tax and supplier’s commission have also
changed accordingly.
In view of the above, only one data acquisition card can be purchased using the allocated
amount. We will pursue other sources to acquire second DAQ card. We are hopeful that
