COMVIS contributed their work in an industrial funded project of Digital Imaging Lab, Loughbrough University , United
Kingdom. The objective of the project was to develop and demonstrate an innovative system to import CCTV video
footage, intelligently annotate the objects in the digitized image and provide a fast search and retrieval system for
post-incident analysis. Such capabilities enable user-friendly semantic queries to be run : “Man in red shirt” for
example.
COMVIS contributed two major portions of the project which included text and logo detection and vehicle license
plate detection in CCTV video footages.
