Its focus is the exploration of the human condition in all of its varied forms—Art, History, Language, Media, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology. The purpose of the Southern Colorado (SOCO) Conference is to highlight the artistic and scholarly efforts of the faculty and students in our region. These individuals work hard to make themselves experts in their respective fields so they can better the lives of their students and their communities. That is why I would like to welcome our guests from Adams State University, Eastern New Mexico University, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Pikes Peak Community College, Pueblo Community College, the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center, the Pueblo Rape Crisis Center, and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I will also ask you to visit downtown Pueblo, visit the art galleries on first Friday and have dinner at a local restaurant. Welcome to SOCO 2016! William Folkestad ABOUT DR.
