Preventing Infection in Care Induction Programme – Activity Record Learning Objective On completion of the Induction programme the learner will be able to list all 10 Standard Infections and Control Precautions (SICPs) and demonstrate the correct procedures in applying them in practice Throughout the Induction Programme you will be asked to record your thoughts or reflections relating to the 10 SICPs and how they can be applied or related to your specific care setting. The activities allow you to demonstrate your learning and should help facilitate discussions with your manager or supervisor on how you might implement changes or improvements in your care setting. The certificate of completion and the activity sheet can be uploaded or printed from the CD ROM and kept as evidence for continuing professional development and for NMC revalidation purposes if registered, alternatively you may choose to upload your evidence of learning using the NHS e-Portfolio and you can find the link to the portfolio on the accompanying CD ROM. For carers working towards SVQ2/3 the learning will provide some evidence towards the SVQ portfolio and should be discussed with the SVQ assessor.
