This easy-to-use CD-ROM features 150 interactive activities
designed to provide students with engaging practice of 6
useful test-taking strategies. The questions focus on operations, fractions, geometry, and more—making this CDROM an ideal tool for reinforcing math and test-taking
skills…at the same time!
CD-ROM Features
The 150 activities on the CD-ROM are divided among 6

The activities provide students with instant visual and
audio feedback when they choose answers. Navigating
through the program is designed to be simple and
intuitive—so you can instantly choose and display the
activity of your choice.
Each activity features a “Print” button at the top of the
screen. Just click on this button to make a printout of the
activity to use for reference or as a reproducible worksheet for students.
At the bottom of each activity screen is a “Help” button.
Clicking on this button will activate the Help function,
which allows you to roll the cursor over the different
on-screen elements for a brief explanation of each one.
Using the CD-ROM
You can display the activities on a large monitor or project
them through an LCD projector for whole-class lessons or
review.
The activities included on the CD-ROM are perfect for
daily problem solving practice or as a warm-up activity to
get students ready for math lessons.
They are also an ideal way to teach students test-taking
skills and prepare them for standardized tests. The questions are written in a common test format, and the first
activity in each category features a simple explanation of
that specific test-taking strategy.
You can also install the program on a computer in your
computer center to allow students to work on the activities
independently or in small groups. Make sure that students
understand how to use the program before letting them
work on their own. Provide students with writing materials
and paper, so that they are able to work out the problems
to find the answers.
