ROLE
The Technical Writer creates and maintains the product documentation in collaboration with the
FircoSoft Product team (developers, business analysts, etc.).
All FircoSoft products are created/enhanced using Agile methodologies. The Technical Writer, as a full
member of Agile teams, is involved in the products lifecycle from the very beginning.
This position requires writing abilities with the right combination of organization, communication skills,
and creativity to translate technical information into material that customers can understand.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Technical Writer:
Writes technical documentation:

Release Notes,

User Manuals,

Installation Manuals.
Ensures documentation is up-to-date, accurate, complete, and of quality.
Gathers information.
Creates, designs, writes, and updates documents in collaboration with the Product team.
Draws graphics to illustrate written material.
Maintains our Wiki pages and writes internal memos.
Validates the labels and messages used in our applications.

Technical Writer
REQUIRED SKILLS
Business
University degree in Technical Writing (Licence or Master RTMI / CDMM) or similar.
English fluency is mandatory (the team is international, English is the common language in the
company).
Minimum 2 years experience as a Technical Writer.
Experience in Agile methodology would be appreciated.
Technical
Experience in using MadCap Flare or in topic-based authoring.
HTML, XML, and CSS.
Knowledge of JIRA is a plus.
Soft Skills
Self-starter who takes initiative, is customer-oriented, and able to solve problems.
Good at explaining, autonomous, curious, meticulous, ability to prioritize and organize tasks,
ability to work under pressure or in a fast-moving environment.
Team player with strong social skills.
Excellent writing skills.
