To renew your International Driving Permit while overseas simply complete an application form and send a copy of your Australian State or Territory Drivers Licence, one (1) passport size photo and proof of travel to RACQ. IDP’s issued by AAA are distributed through the state and territory motoring organisations. Counterfeit IDPs are being offered for sale on the internet, usually at inflated prices. These forged IDPs are illegal. If you hold one, you may get into a great deal of difficulty with the traffic authorities in foreign countries.
