Mounting bracket and straight round steel pole with flush handhole are hot-dip galvanized prior to being finished in high quality, finely textured paint. Base cover is spun aluminum. Hinged frameless tempered glass lens opens with single quarter-turn fastener for easy relamping. Lens is sealed to the housing with one-piece closed cell silicone gasketing. Hinged reflector plate, painted with high reflectance white paint, swings down allowing access to ballast components. Housing is fitted with stainless steel weather-tight strain relief bushing for the power cable exiting the rear of the housing. Luminaire installs onto bracket mounting plate with four socket head cap screws. All hardware is stainless steel. OPTICS Horizontal lamp is positioned within the formed aluminum reflector consisting of semi-specular and hammertone anodized aluminum sheet, laser cut for precise reproduction. Flat tempered glass lens is screen-printed with border around reflector opening. ELECTRICAL Metal halide core and coil ballast with class ''H'' (180°C) insulation system shall have a minimum high power factor rating of 90% and nominal ballast factor of 1.0. Ballast shall be capable of reliable starting to -20°F (-30°C) at nominal line voltage of ±10%. Ballast, capacitor, and starter (where applicable) are UL and CSA recognized. Medium base porcelain socket is 660w-600v, 4kV pulse rated. LAMPING 150w ceramic metal halide, MHC150/U/M, ED-17 medium base POLE Fabricated aluminum bracket arm bolts to the pole 1.9' from the top with stainless steel fasteners. Square tubing welded to the underside of the bracket arm acts as a wire way for the luminaire power cable. Round and curved steel pole is manufactured from cold drawn over mandrel, electric-weld, mechanical round steel tubing with nominal wall thickness of 0.157''. Flush mounted handhole cover is plasma cut with kerf not to exceed 1/8'' and includes triangular tamper-resistant locking device. Pole and luminaire mounting bracket are hot-dip galvanized with coating inside and out, then lightly sanded prior to painting. Two-piece base cover with tamper-proof fasteners is fabricated from 0.080'' spun aluminum and finished to match the pole. Nominal pole height is 16'. FINISH Housing is ultrasonically cleaned prior to painting. Standard finish is finely textured matte silver grey metallic or graphite grey. Special colors available on request. WARRANTY Limited product warranty period is three years. Lamp and ballast shall carry the respective manufacturer's limited warranty.
