This course is an introductory course in Two-Dimensional Computer-Aided
Drafting using AutoCAD. Students learn the basic tools to create and edit a
simple drawing. Topics include object construction, object properties, layers,
orthographic projections, auxiliary views, parametric tools, basic dimensioning,
template building, and plotting.

This course introduces the fundamental building blocks that form a modern
network, such as protocols, topologies, hardware, network architecture, and
network operating systems. In-depth coverage of the most important concepts
in contemporary networking includes TCP/IP, Ethernet, wireless transmission,
network administration, support, troubleshooting WANs (Wide Area Networks),
and security. Students develop the skills to implement the best network topology,
hardware, and software for their environment, develop skills to build a network
from scratch, and maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot an existing network.
Finally, students are well prepared to pass CompTIA’s (The Computing Technology
Industry Association) Network+ certification exam.
