Connect to PC-­‐Guest Wireless PC-­‐Guest is a non-­‐broadcast wireless network for guests of campus. Use the instructions below for your operating system or device. Instructions for mobile devices can be found on the reverse side. Windows Vista 1. Right-­‐click on the network icon in the System Tray (to the left of the clock) and choose Connect to a Network. 2. You should see PC-­‐Secure and Unnamed Network with the same strength. 3. Click on the Unnamed Network with the yellow warning flag next to the signal strength and choose Connect. 4. When it asks you for the name of the network, enter PC-­‐Guest. 5. It should connect you automatically. If not, try again and it should connect you on the second try. 6. Once connected, it will ask if you would like to save the network. This is entirely up to you, but keep in mind that you won’t have to complete these steps each additional time you wish to connect. Windows 7 and Windows 8 1. Right-­‐click on the network icon in the System Tray (to the left of the clock) and choose Network and Sharing Center. (Windows 8 requires you be on the desktop to see this) 2. On the left side, choose Manage Wireless Networks. 3. Click the Add button at the top. 4. Choose Manually create a network profile. 5. Enter the information as follows: Network name: PC-­‐Guest Security type: No authentication (Open) Encryption type: None Security Key: leave this blank Start this connection automatically: checked Connect even if the network is not broadcasting: checked 6. Click on the Airport/Wi-­‐Fi icon on the right hand side of the menu bar. Choose Join Other Network… In the Network Name field, enter PC-­‐Guest. If you wish to remember the network and auto-­‐connect, check the box. Click Join. iOS Devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) 1.

Go to Settings. Go to Wi-­‐Fi. Under Choose a Network, choose Other… In the Name field, enter PC-­‐Guest. Leave Security set at None. Tap Join. Android Devices 1.
