The BX-SBL 502 can be connected directly to the fire alarm line.
The volume c an be set to either “Low” or “High” and the tone type is set via the fire alarm control panel, even during ongoing operation, depending on the event.

The siren fulfils EN54-3 and EN54-17.
It meets the specifications of SecuriLine eXtended for operation on the ring circuit of the Securiton fire detection system SecuriFire and SecuriPro.

The BX-SBL 502 can be directly connected to the fire detector line
SecuriLine eXtended of the fire alarm system SecuriFire
1000/2000/3000 and SecuriPro.
The Loop Siren BX-SBL 502 is an addressable alarm unit for the acoustic alarming of a fire alarm in indoor applications
The Loop Siren unit BX-SBL 502 can be connected directly to the fire alarm line, mixed with other participants such as manual call points or automatic fire detectors.
The addressing and activation (inclusive selection of tone types and volume )of the BX-SBL 502 are defined via software of the fire alarm system
The module includes a short-circuit isolator. In the event of wire breakage or short-circuit this functionality ensures that the fault is localised and that operation of the ring circuit remains fully functional.

Based on the current consumption, these conditions must be considered:
The quantity of BX-SBL 502 units that can be connected is dependent on how many are combined with other loop technology devices, on the cabling used (length and diameter) and the volume set for the BX-SBL 502 sirens.
A pure siren loop has these restrictions:

If other devices are connected on the same loop circuit, then the quantity of loop sirens must be adjusted accordingly. A precise power consumption calculation must be carried out.
For SecuriFire, a power calculation tool is available.
Depending on the set volume, the current consumption can vary.
This has to be considered when making the loop length check and also the power calculation.
A SecuriFire software documentation is planned for programming and planning.
The volume can be set individually per loop siren.
SecuriFire:
Selection of the volume High/Low via SecuriFire Studio.
The DIP-switch 1 has no function.
SecuriPro:
Selection of the volume High/Low via DIP-switch 1, see chapter Interface
SecuriFire and SecuriPro:
The tone type can be set individually per loop siren via software.
Furthermore, the tone type can be programmed depending of the type of event.

The BX-SBL 502 is limited to these tones when using with SecuriPro:

A synchronisation for the loop sounder BX-SBL 502 is carried out in combination with SecuriFire, but not with SecuriPro.
1. Break out the fastening borings on the planned locations in the base (1). if using the BX-SBL 502 -DB, the breakouts need to be on the side for the insertion of the cables.
2. After fitting the cable insert locations, screw the base onto the installation surface.

3. Screw the connecting wires into the terminal block of the BX-
SBL 502 as per switching.
4. Route the connecting wires through the design ring (3) and the
USB 501-1 1) (4).
5. Install the cover (3).
To remove the siren, remove the cover at the recess (4) with the appropriate tool. After that, disconnect the wires from the terminal block and open the snap lock between the siren and the base.
