GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
This is a 120 Ω impedance cable, designed for EIA RS−485/422 and RS−232
applications.
The cable contains 4 twisted pairs, shielded with an overall
polyester−aluminum foil and an overall copper−braid
and jacketed with PVC compound for fixed or portable installations.
1. Basic Wires:
1.1. Conductor : Stranded tinned−copper, 7x0.203 mm (24 AWG).
1.2. Insulation: Solid PE.
2. Pairs Construction:

3. Pair arrangement:
The four pairs are cabled together and wrapped with separation tapes.

face out, laid in close contact with a tin−plated, 24 AWG stranded
(7x0.20 mm) drain−wire.
4.2. Braided shield, made of tinned−copper, providing 90% coverage min.
