We bring proven state-of-the-art powder coatings chemistries to meet all
performance, aesthetics, and application requirements of our Customer.
Super Durable Polyester
Epoxy
This coating is also known as “enhanced polyester,”
providing superior UV and weathering resistance.
Having excellent leveling and smoothness, plus
significantly increased hardness over Kynar or other
fluoropolymer filled products, it has a proven track
record of 10 years in Architectural applications.
This coating meets AAMA 2604-98 requirements.
For interior and non-critical weathering applications
where chemical, electric, or possible livestock ingestion
environments are encountered.
TGIC Polyester
This is the most “forgiving” exterior powder coating
(vs “non TGIC” polyesters). Excellent weatherability,
toughness and color stability are hallmarks. Appearance
is best at 1.5 mils and over. Very flexible, these coatings
can be “post formed” provided proper tooling setups
are used. A wide range of cure temperatures and dwell
times can be used.

Epoxy / Polyester Hybrids
For interior use where indirect UV exposure occurs, or
where much better color stability in varying cure cycles
is desired. Achieving a good balance between Epoxy and
Polyester, this coating is the best choice for display/store
shelving and most indoor appliances.
Polyester Urethane
High-Heat Resistant / FDA-Compliant
Provides excellent leveling, smoothness and gloss.
Superior hardness can be achieved (usually one “pencil”
more than TGIC) and is designed for relatively low film
build. Certain chemical resistances can be developed to
a high level. This product is sensitive to cure parameters;
they must be closely followed for optimum results.
AmeriCoats offers silicone resin based powder coating
with heat resistance up to 1200°F. This product line is
suitable for a wide variety of applications including
fireplaces, barbeques, heating appliances, automotive
mufflers and headers, and other industrial applications.
Also offered are FDA compliance coatings for direct and
indirect food contact. These are available in a variety of
colors and finishes.
Non TGIC Polyester
This coating uses a “Primid” type curing agent,
developed as an alternate to TGIC curing systems.
These coatings are used on a decreasing basis,
primarily due to appearance issues at heavy film
thicknesses.
New raw materials and processes are continuously
evaluated for ongoing product development and
enhancement — improved properties, lower cost!

Typical applications are on lab furniture, water/well
pumps, certain engine components, children’s toys, certain
electrical components, and livestock gates/fence posts.
While “chalking” will occur progressively on outdoor
exposure, protective properties are not impaired.

Appliance

Custom Coaters
Most use a full range of Powders. We strive to streamline
Coaters’ products in compatible chemistries and similar
cure parameters. Ease of application is paramount, and
we are always interested in the end-use of any powder
we make. This enables us to make specific products
for particular requirements, and to carry a wide range
of “standard” powders. We “match and make” orders
small as one box, and get them to you on time. Our
inventories are updated twice weekly to give you “real
time” availability.
Electrical Equipment / Components
Powder coatings are used for exterior housings in the
electrical and electronic industries. However, they are also
being evaluated for unique, functional applications such as
transformer and motor windings. Powder coating provides
a significant benefit over conventional coating.
General Industrial
A complete range of coatings is available, formulated
for desired properties such as chemical, electrical,
temperature or physical. Cure temperatures can be
varied to accommodate almost any customer condition.
General purpose coatings are standard in our inventory.
Electrical / Electronic Enclosures
All Polyester and Urethane powders we make are UL
Listed, meeting all DTOV2 requirements. Certification
cards are available on request. This is usually necessary
for these type products; our “blanket” certification
eliminates redundancy of paperwork.
The IT and related markets require very fine textures and
specialized finishes such as metallic used on high-end
cell phone plates. Our finishes are found on Motorola,
Antec and others in many markets.

Architectural
Our technically advanced products will meet all key
specifications, including AAMA 2604-98. Special
resins now have a 10 year plus track record, offering
improved color stability and hardness vs. conventional
Fluoropolymer products. They also offer superior
“stucco-resistant” properties, regardless of color/gloss.
Lawn and Garden Equipment
Polyester or Urethane coatings provide necessary
toughness for a working outdoor environment, along
with excellent fuel and hydraulic fluids resistance.
They provide an attractive and durable finish over the
average life of the unit.
Metal Furniture and Furnishings
Having high emphasis on decorative qualities, good
functionality is also emphasized. Impact, scratch,
and stain resistance are necessary along with other
requirements for baths and children’s furniture.
Lab furniture has its own special requirements.
