CIMB Bank Berhad (“CIMB Bank”) has sponsored 2 minutes of the Jalan Jalan Cari Makan (JJCM)
programme (“the 2 Minute Programme”) whereby a contest will be featured within the 2 Minute
Programme every Sunday on TV3 for 13 weeks from 22 May 2016 till 5 June 2016 and 17 July 2016
till 18 September 2016 (“the Contest”).

Eligibility and Qualifying Criteria
1. This Contest is open to all citizens of Malaysia (save and except for the participants mentioned in
clause 3) who fulfilled the following conditions:(i) have attained the age of 21 years old at the commencement of the Contest; and
(ii) have a mobile number registered with Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile telecommunications
network.
Eligible Participants
2. By participating in this Contest, all Eligible Participants agree to be bound by the Terms and
Conditions herein and all decisions reasonably and fairly made by CIMB Bank.
3. The following participants are not eligible to participate in the Contest (“Non Eligible
Participants”):
I.
Permanent, contract and/or temporary staff or employees of CIMB Bank (including its
subsidiaries and related companies) and their immediate family members (i.e. spouses,
children, parents, brothers and sisters); and/or
II.
Representatives and/or agents (including advertising, promotion and campaign agents, third
party vendors and service providers) of CIMB Bank, and/or MasterCard Worldwide, a
company organised under the State of Delaware, having its office and principal place of
business at 2000 Purchase Street, Purchase, New York, NY 10577-2509, United States of
America (“MasterCard”) (including their respective subsidiaries and related companies);
and/or
III.
Sole-proprietorships, Partnerships, Charitable/Non-profit Organisations/Societies; and/or
IV.
Individuals below the age of 21 years; and/or
Mechanics of the Contest
4. To participate in the Contest, the Eligible Participants are required to answer a question aired in
the 2 minute Programme in the following manner:-
I.
At the end of the 2 minute Programme on each Contest Date, one question will be displayed on
the screen at the tail-end of the 2 minute Programme.
II.
The Eligible Participant(s) shall send the answer via a short message service (SMS) to CIMB
Bank in the following manner:

IV.
To win the Prizes on each Contest Date mentioned in Clause 6 below, all SMS entries must be
sent to 33668 by 11.59 on the same day of the Contest Date.
V.
Eligible Participant(s) must ensure that they have keyed in the correct last 6 digits of their
MyKad/Passport number in the SMS. CIMB Bank reserves the right to disqualify the Eligible
Participants from the Contest if the information furnished by the Eligible Participants are found or
suspected to be untrue and/or incorrect.
VI.
Eligible Participant(s) are allowed to participate in each Contest Date and win a maximum of 13
Prizes under the Contest (a maximum win of 1 time on each Contest Date). Eligible participants
may submit one or more SMS entries. Standard telco rates for sending the SMS apply and may
vary according to the respective telco provider.

6.
For the purposes of this Contest, Eligible Participants who fulfilled the qualifying criteria and

below) to answer the question correctly shall be known as the “Contest Winners”. The Prizes
offered under the Contest to be given out to the Contest Winners on each Contest Date is
shown in the table below.

Announcement of Contest Winners and How to Claim Prizes
a) The Contest Winner(s) will be notified by phone by CIMB‟s appointed fulfilment agency
(Geometry Global Malaysia) at the Contest Winners‟ mobile number registered with Maxis, Digi
or U Mobile one (1) day after the respective Contest Date. Should the first attempt to call the
Contest Winner(s) fail (i.e. no answer, telephone number not in service, no connection, etc)
another two (2) attempts will be made within the next (4) hours. When such further attempts
are unsuccessful, CIMB Bank reserves the right to select the next Eligible Participant to be the
winner and the same process will be repeated until a „Contest Winner‟ is determined.
b) The Contest Winners who are existing CIMB Bank customers will be entitled to the cash prizes
credited into their (CIMB current/savings account) within 4 to 6 weeks after the Contest Period.
The Contest Winners must be the sole or primary account holder to be eligible to receive the
Cash Prizes. For avoidance of doubt, secondary account holders to the joint CIMB
current/savings accounts are not entitled to receive any Prizes under this contest.
c) The Contest Winners who are non-CIMB Bank account holders will have to open a CIMB Bank
Current/Savings account within 14 days from the receipt of the call from CIMB Bank‟s
appointed fulfilment agency to facilitate the crediting of the Prize(s), failing which the Prize will
be forfeited. The Contest Winners shall not be entitled to claim for any payment or
compensation from CIMB Bank arising from the said forfeiture.
d) The list of the Contest Winners will be announced at www.cimbbank.com.my/jjcm.
e) For non cash prizes, the Contest Winners are required to provide a postal address to enable
the Prizes to be couriered by Geometry Global Malaysia. In the event the Prizes are unable to
be delivered (not due to any fault of CIMB Bank), the said Prizes will be forfeited. The Contest
Winners shall not be entitled to claim for any payment or compensation from CIMB Bank
arising from the said forfeiture.
f)
Representatives are not allowed to represent the Contest Winners to claim the Prizes.
g) By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Participants hereby consent to and agree that
CIMB Bank shall be at liberty to disclose their information including but not limited to their
names, mobile number, and last six digits of their national identity card number and/or address
for the purposes of Contest Winners selection and Prizes redemption.
General Terms and Conditions
a) In the event of the unavailability of the Prize(s) or any of its component(s) or a change of
circumstances, CIMB Bank reserves the right to substitute the Prize(s) or any of its
components thereof with any other item of similar cost at any time.
b) CIMB Bank reserves the right at their absolute discretion to delete or add to any of these
Terms & Conditions by giving prior notice of twenty one (21) calendar days to vary (whether
by addition, deletion, modification, amendment or otherwise howsoever) any of the terms and
conditions herein (“Amendment”). Notification of the Amendment shall be effected at CIMB
Bank‟s absolute discretion including but not limited to displaying the Amendment at CIMB
Bank‟s website or any other means which CIMB Bank may select and the Amendment shall
be deemed binding on the Eligible Participants as from the date of notification of the
Amendment or from such other date as may be specified by CIMB Bank in the notification.
c) By participating in this Contest and accepting the Prizes, the Eligible Participants hereby
consent to and agree that CIMB Bank shall be entitled to publish and/or display materials
and/or information, including but not limited to the names and photographs of the Contest
Winners for advertising and publicity purposes in any manner it deems appropriate.
d) CIMB Bank‟s decision fairly and reasonably made on all matters relating to the Contest,
including the eligibility and/or entitlement to the Prize is final, binding and conclusive.
e) CIMB Bank reserves the right upon giving prior notice of not less than fourteen (14) calendar
days to change the Contest Dates.
f)
By participating in the Contest, the Contest Winner(s) are deemed to have consented to CIMB
Bank processing and disclosing their personal data in accordance with the CIMB Group
Privacy Notice which can be found at http:www.cimb.com/enpolicy.html
g) The Contest Winner(s) shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided
to CIMB Bank. CIMB Bank shall not be held liable for any losses or damages suffered by the

Contest Winners and/or any 3 party in the course of this Contest if the same arises from the
inaccurate details provided by the Contest Winners to CIMB Bank.
h) By participating in the Contest, the Contest Winner (s) hereby agree and irrevocably and
unconditionally undertake to fully absolve CIMB Bank of all liabilities and agree to indemnify
CIMB Bank (on full indemnity basis) and hold CIMB Bank harmless against any claim by any
third party and against any loss, damage, cost or expense (including solicitor's fees and cost)
that CIMB Bank may suffer or incur as a result of or in connection with the Contest and/or the
Prize(s).
i)
CIMB Bank will not assume any responsibility for the prizes, products and/or services offered
under the Contest. The prizes, products and/or services are offered and/or provided solely by
the relevant vendors and providers, under such terms and conditions as determined by such
vendors and providers and under no circumstances shall CIMB Bank be liable for any loss
and/or damage incurred by any party (including without limitation to the loss of income, profits
or goodwill whether the same be direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary or
punitive) nor shall CIMB Bank be liable for any special damages to any party including third
parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, in connection with
the Contest and/or the Prize(s).
j)
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and the Contest Winner(s) submit to the
exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia in resolving any disputes arising from or in
connection with these terms.
k) The terms and conditions herein shall prevail over any inconsistent terms or representations
contained in any promotional materials advertising the Contest. In the event where there is
any inconsistency(ies), conflict(s), ambiguity(ies), or discrepancy(ies) between English and
Bahasa Malaysia versions of the Terms & Conditions herein, the English version of the Terms
& Conditions herein shall prevail. Notwithstanding the aforementioned where request is made
by the Eligible Participants for the Bahasa Malaysia version of the terms and conditions
governing the Contest, the Bank shall provide the same and the Bahasa Malaysia version of
the terms and conditions governing the Contest shall form the basis of the contract between
CIMB Bank and the Eligible Participants.
l)
