ELC Visit Guide a Lambda Chi Alpha resource Brother High Alpha: As you begin your preparations for the Fall semester, it is my privilege to inform you of your upcoming Educational Leadership Consultant visit. Within the next few weeks, your consultant will contact you to finalize plans for his visit. You will also receive a letter detailing those things which the chapter/colony should provide to support the consultant during his visit (i.e.: food, lodging, linens, etc.). Please know that your consultant is ready and willing to assist you no matter the challenges. The purpose of an Educational Leadership Consultant’s visit is twofold: to assess all aspects of a chapter/colony’s operations; and to provide guidance and support for improving those operations so that they are consistent with Lambda Chi Alpha’s established standards. The ELC Visitation Guide contains all of the information you will need to prepare for a successful visit. As High Alpha, it is your responsibility to ensure that each officer of your High Zeta receives the appropriate documents from this packet and completes them prior to meeting with the ELC. The information in this guide includes a meeting schedule, expectations for the ELC visit, individual Tactical Operations Guides, and handouts for each of your officers. Having completed Lambda Chi Alpha’s rigorous and demanding ELC training and development program, your consultant possesses myriad resources which can help make your chapter/colony as strong as possible. The best way to utilize your ELC’s expertise is to maintain an open line of communication, throughout the semester, with your consultant. Remember, your ELC is there to help you and your chapter/colony to be successful, take advantage of his knowledge and experience. If your consultant is not assisting you, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Lambda Chi Alpha takes great pride in the professional competence of it’s consultants. Not every fraternity has a consultant group that is held to such high standards of organizational training and personal conduct, but such is Lambda Chi Alpha’s commitment to the well-being of its chapters and colonies that it invests in the development of such men and then makes them available to every chapter and colony every semester. Currently maintaining a traveling staff of ten consultants, the General Fraternity is proud to offer your chapter/colony the vast knowledge and understanding of Lambda Chi Alpha through these Brothers. On behalf of the General Fraternity, thank you for the work that you do for your chapter/colony and for the brotherhood of Lambda Chi Alpha. Yours in ZAX, Chase Simpson Associate Director of Chapter Services 1 LAMBDA CHI ALPHA FRATERNITY ELC SCHEDULE This schedule of officer conferences with the educational leadership consultant should be prepared before the ELC arrives and given to him immediately upon his arrival.
