• The game is played in rounds, there are 3 questions per round and 3 point values in each round. For the first 3 rounds, the points you may wager are 1, 3, or 5 points. For the last 3 rounds, the points you may wager are 2, 4, or 6 points.
• You may only use each point value once per round
• The MC/Judge (Kevin) will announce the categories at the beginning of each round then read a question.
• Each team must complete an answer sheet with their team name, point value and answer and turn into one of our runners after 90 seconds. When judge announces that
“Time is up” you must have your team’s answer in the air. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS
TO THIS RULE!
• Each team will be allowed two (2) challenges per night. Teams may use their challenge to dispute the accuracy of a question/answer. Challenges are to be brought to the host/scorer ONLY after the 3rd or 6th round. The host/scorer will evaluate the challenge and make a ruling. (New for this season)
• Add point values of correct responses to your total. The top 3 teams will receive
Baywood Gift Cards.
• Each table is a separate team
• Once you turn your answer in, you may not have it back.
• No reference materials or phone calls regarding the questions. If the MC/Judge sees anyone using their phones to find out answers, you will receive “0” points for that answer.
• Trivia is meant to be a fun evening for everyone. Please keep this spirit alive by being a beacon of sportsmanship.
• The judge’s decision is FINAL. DO NOT SHOUT OUT THE ANSWER!
• Entry fee for Tuesday Night Trivia will still be $5 per player
• $2.50 of the entry fee will go to Baywood Greens and the other $2.50 will go toward that week's prize pool.
• The top 3 teams of the night will receive Baywood Gift Cards as their prize. 1st place
-50% of the prize pool ; 2nd place - 30% of the prize pool ; 3rd place - 20% of the prize pool
• No more than 10 players on any single team - NO EXCEPTIONS
• There will be a cash bar for anyone who would like soda, beer, wine, cocktails, etc. ABSOLUTELY no outside food is to be brought into The Windows on the Green
Ballroom (i.e. chips, pretzels, snacks, salads, sandwiches, etc.). This is due to food and safety regulations and there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. We recommend you reserve a table in the Baywood Clubhouse Restaurant prior to joining us for Trivia.
• We will continue to keep a weekly running total of each team's points. The team with the highest points at the end of the Trivia Season will get to create and host the last week of Trivia.
• Space will be limited and team/table reservations will be first come/first served. Reserve your table soon!
