Class I/Division 2 safety certification is a mandated requirement for devices in many industrial applications,
and for good reason. A Class I/Division 2 hazardous location is defined as an area in which flammable

designed and manufactured to reduce the risk that it will produce an electrical discharge that could serve
as the ignition point for a fire or explosion.
