6 Safety precautions
The E522.51/52 multiple Power Supply demoboard operates with output currents of up to 1.5A. When load resistors are connected to the outputs, the output current can cause the load resistors become hot during demoboard operation!
Handling and operating the demoboard assembly is only allowed in an ESD protected workplace. Follow the instructions to set
up and operating exactly to avoid failures or damages of the demoboard.
7 Features of the demoboard
The E522.51/52 multiple Power Supply demoboard provides up to 6 separate output voltages to external loads. On the AK2 to
AK7 connectors, the output voltages are available. It is possible to interconnect the outputs of the LDO’s to achieve higher output current (parallelization) by setting JP2. Depending on the programming of the E522.51 resp. E522.52 for the desired application, the activation of the buck converters is possible by an on-board pulse generator in an ON/OFF cycle of 1s ON- time and
0.5s OFF-time. The output voltage settings (level, Power sequencing, current limitation and activation control) are internally
programmed and application- tailored. The SPI can be used to analyze status information and to control the IC behavior in a
predetermined characteristic. For monitoring and measuring the output voltages, an auxiliary output pin header is available.
IC control and status information can be captured at the X2 and X4 connector. For further information of parameter settings,
refer to the E522.51/52 data sheet.

2. Set the jumpers accordingly to the desired application
3. Connect the input to the PSU.
4. Double-check that everything has been connected and settled correctly
5. Turn the Power Supply Unit on.
Observe the output voltages and /or the output currents (Power sequencing can be observed by a scope)
