USAGE OF THE CONFORMITY MARK FOR
CERTIFIED PRODUCT- GUIDELINES
Sertification is procedure where by issuing a certificate of conformity it is confirmed that a
certain process, product or service, or management system, are in compliance with a standard,
technical or other regulation, or with technical specification.
Sertificate of a product and/or management system conformity can be used only in
accordance with the law and these guidelines.
Certificate holder in communication media (documents, brochures, advertising material and
similar) may call upon the certification documents only in accordance with these guidelines.
Certificate holder must not use certificate of conformity in such a way that "Kvalitet" a.d.
reputation may be brought into question, or give information in relation to certification, for which a
holder is not authorized.
Certificate and conformity mark holder is obliged to permanently control production of
certified products and/or documents implementation of the management system in such a way that
provides compliency with requirements of a standard according to which testing/ assessment was
carried out, as well as certification of products and/ or management system.
Certificate holder is obliged to enable "Kvalitet" a.d. to carry out regular and, when justified,
also extraordinary supervision of the certified product and/ or management system, within the
certificate validity period.
In case "Kvalitetu" a.d. is prevented from carrying out the supervision, or incorrect call upon
certification status or ambiguous use of certification documents, marks or check up reports occur,
"Kvalitet" may request certain correction measures, can perform suspension, revoke certificate,
announce violation, and, if needed, undertake some legal measures.
Certificate holder is obliged to pay fee to "Kvalitet" a.d. for carrying out the supervision,
according to the valid price list.
Certificate holder is obliged to inform “Kvalitet” a.d. in writing about eventual change on
already certified product and/or management system. “Kvalitet” a.d. is obliged to inform the
certificate holder in writing whether the certificate issued remains to be in effect or additional
conformity testing/assessment is needed for the purpose of extending the issued certificate or
issuing a new Document.
Certificate holder cannot use obtained certificate and conformity mark after expiration of
certificate validity period.
“Kvalitet“ a.d. shall by its Decision suspend/ revoke the issued certificate in case it
establishes during the supervision procedure that certificate holder does not meet requirements
according to which the certificate was issued.
Holder of a certificate of conformity shall, during the suspension period, or after revoking of
the certificate, stop using all advertising materials that call upon certification and shall return all
certification documents that “Kvalitet" a.d. requires from him.
Certificate holder’s plea on decision on certificate suspension/ revocation does not postpone
execution of the decision that was made.
Every usage of certificate and conformity mark that opposes these guidelines makes a
condition and basis for revoking of certificate.
Holder of certificate and conformity mark is obliged to:
- Keep record of all service users’ complaints on the certified product, management system
related to compliance with requirements of the certain standard
- Undertake necessary measures in relation to defects that influence compliance with
certification requirements
- Document all undertaken activities and correction measures
- Place at certification organization’s disposal complete documentation in relation to
complaints of the product/ services users.

Certificate and conformity mark can be used only for certified product that is marked on the
product. Conformity marks are given in annexes.
All certified products must have the same mark of the producer and same type, as the type
that was certified.
All components that are installed into products must be certified, in case they are liable to
obligatory certification. Components must correspond to the components that are installed into the
tested sample/ samples.
Certification mark and manufacturer sign, when possible, shall be placed on the same rating
plate; they shall be durable and visible. They should not be placed at the parts that are removed
when product is repaired or serviced. Certification marks must be at least 5 mm high.
Conformity mark of the certified product does not exempt the certificate holder from
obligations to comply the product in accordance with the law of the country where the product is put
into circulation.
Certificate holder is obliged to ensure that all products marked with his conformity mark, as
prescribed by the Regulation on establishing conformity and carrying out technical supervision
(Official Gazette of SRYU (Socialist republic of Yugoslavia) no. 55/97 and 57/97) before being put
into circulation, shall be identical with the sample tested for the purpose of being issued the
certificate.
In case of being deprived of the certificate, the holder is obliged to redraw from circulation
the products that are marked with the conformity mark, and new produced products shall not be
marked with the conformity mark unless they were again certified.
For the purpose of any other usage of the mark, the certificate holder must be granted written
approval of "Kvalitet" a.d.
