Matthew Crowe has been named Quick Response project engineer and Frederick Hansen has been added as project sales account manager. Nicholas Holstein has been named senior project manager and Troy Woods has been added as service account manager. Bob Mathisen, senior vice president and general manager, also announced that Daniel C. Shepardson, P.E. and LEED AP, has been promoted to internal commissioning team leader. Dan Shepardson’s promotion to internal commissioning team leader caps over 10 years of service with the Murphy Company. Shepardson is responsible for developing internal commissioning processes that drive improved project delivery. He works with project staff, subcontractors, other trades, suppliers and design teams to improve coordination and final quality on mechanical systems buildout, installation, start up and turnover. Shepardson received his Bachelor of Science in engineering science from Colorado State University, and currently holds both LEED (O+M) and University of Wisconsin QCxP commissioning credentials. He has over 30 years of industry experience combining both mechanical systems and temperature controls design and construction. Matt Crowe, Quick Response project engineer, is responsible for assisting project managers in customer relationships and project technical support. He is a Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in construction management. The Quick Response Group of Murphy Company excels in quick-turnaround projects in the plumbing, HVAC and process piping arenas. Fred Hansen, project sales account manager, is responsible for supporting the firm’s work by promoting and selling Murphy Company’s Quick Response group in Colorado. Fred has a broad range of experience from his 20plus years selling mechanical construction projects, control system modifications, and mechanical design-build opportunities in the Denver market. His expertise in HVAC upgrades and retrofits helps provide cost-effective solutions for Murphy Company’s customers. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College. Nick Holstein, senior project manager, has managed large healthcare and data center projects in both the private and government sectors. His skills, experience and education will enable him to successfully lead project teams in the installation of complete mechanical systems on larger projects including data centers, healthcare, grass-roots facilities and building renovations. Nick earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Troy Woods comes to Murphy as an account manager within the Colorado Service Group. He will be responsible for prospecting new service opportunities in the region. His primary focus will be to develop preventive maintenance solutions with the clients; plus, support any retrofit and repair work that the service client may require. His ultimate goal in this role is to provide excellent customer service to Murphy customers and to provide for the retention of these service customers. Troy received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in industrial technology from Purdue University and has close to 20 years of practical sales experience in both the manufacturing and industrial marketplaces.
