Welcome to Fresno
County
Located in the heart of California,
Fresno County has an unmatched diversity of natural beauty, recreational amenities, and business opportunities, not to
mention its proximity to three national parks. In addition to country farm trails featuring the bountiful harvest of the nation’s #1 agricultural county, Fresno County supports a variety of core industries including manufacturing, logistics and
distribution, alternate energy, healthcare, water technology, food processing, and biotechnology.
Home to California’s fifth largest city, the Fresno metropolitan area provides an abundance of entertainment and cultural
activities. With a highly skilled and educated workforce, Fresno County is home to several universities such as Fresno State
and Fresno Pacific University. In addition to universities, trade and technology institutions are equipped to train workers for
specialized skills to suit your specific business needs.
With our $6.8 billion dollar agricultural industry, Fresno County is the world’s largest producer of quality agricultural
products. In addition to food processing, the region supports a thriving manufacturing and distribution industry. Logistically, our central location and underlying distribution network keeps all products – agricultural and otherwise – moving to
destinations throughout the western United States.
From Fresno County, all of California and Nevada can be reached within a day; most of the Western Region can be reached
within two days. Over 500 trucking and warehousing firms operate in the area. Two major railways, Union Pacific and BNSF
Railway Company, operate several intermodal facilities with connections to all outbound destinations. The nation’s largest
parcel carriers – UPS, FedEX and OnTrack, operate out of Fresno Yosemite International Airport, with guaranteed next day
service available anywhere in California.
Fresno County is truly the premier location for
industries seeking to relocate or expand. Contact
the Economic Development Corporation serving
