Resistance Variation with Temperature
The resistance of a conductor varies
with temperature as follows:
Rt = Rt1 (1+αt 1(t-t1))
where:
Rt is the resistance at any
temperature t, Rt1 is the known
resistance at the stated temperature t1.
αt 1 is the temperature coefficient of
resistance at the stated temperature.
Because it is most practical to measure
resistance at room temperature, it is
