This position may include, but not be limited to, the following performance responsibilities, qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities. Performance Responsibilities/Essential Functions: 1. Receive and distribute all State testing materials in accordance with timelines and security protocols established by Office Superintendent of Public Instruction (O.S.P.I.) in order to provide schools with timely assessment protocols and supplies. 2. Collects assessments, checks for completion, appropriate coding and prepares State testing materials for shipping in accordance with OSPI and testing publisher’s guidelines to ensure compliance with State mandated assessment requirements. 3. Coordinate communications from and to O.S.P.I. Assessment office and provide prompt communication of applicable information to the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Services, department staff, principals, and teachers to facilitate District assessments and facilitate understanding to staff of O.S.P.I. requirements. 4. Produce and distribute communication regarding assessment results to the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Services, department staff, administrators, teachers, parents, students, and the Board of Directors to monitor District achievement. 5. Monitors compliance with required assessment rules and practices and reports any issues of noncompliance to the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning Services to assure adherence to State regulations. 6. Create and/or update student enrollment rosters by location and manage all electronic assessment data through the student database system to ensure accurate assessment records are maintained. 7. Schedule and deliver training for Test Coordinators and assessment proctors following O.S.P.I. guidelines to ensure each location is in compliance with all assessment regulations and procedures. 8. Attends O.S.P.I. Webinars and trainings regarding the state assessment system and communicates new information and changes to appropriate district personnel in a timely manner so that they may remain current with State regulations. 9. Coordinate special assessment needs such as adapted assessments (DAW, Portfolios, translated or enlarged/Braille materials, etc.) to meet educational needs of students with special needs. 10. Share in selection process of other classified staff for particular needs, including test sorting and coding; supports schools and teachers who are involved in national testing samples and State pilots. 11. Prepare, distribute, collect, and facilitate scoring for District assessments such as Levels Tests and writing assessments in order to implement District assessment system. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Business training and/or three years of administrative assistant/secretarial experience including computer literacy, budget analysis or fiscal management and records maintenance Office experience preferred Blood Bourne Pathogen Training Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Maintain confidentiality regarding student, school, District and/or staff issues, conversations with building administrator and correspondence. Ability to interact positively and confidentially with students, fellow workers and the general public Knowledge of general office procedures, including filing, recordkeeping, accounting, statistics and application of safety procedures related to performance responsibilities Skills in verbal and written communication and ability to maintain good working relations with co-workers, staff, students and community members.
