Dr . KB Mishra
Founder and Ex – Head of Reliability Engineering Centre, IIT Kharagpur.
Ex – Director – Grade – Scientist, NEERI, Nagpur and Ex – Director NERIST,
Prof Mishra has been Chairman of Indian Bureau of Standards Committee LTDC 3
on Reliability of Electrical & Electronic components and Equipments. He has
been vice president of System Society of India and a Member of IAQR National
In 1976, Prof Misra was invited by the Department of Science & Technology, New
Delhi to serve as the convener of the NCST working group on Reliability
Engineering in India set up by the Government of India. This group submitted
two reports (part I & part II) in 1978 on the Reliability Implementation Program
for India. He also served as member of Task Force Committee on Reliability
Engineering of the Department of Science & Technology, in 1979. He has served
as member on Project Assessment Committee for National Radar Council,
Department of Electronics, CSIR, UGC, etc. He also served as adviser to UPSC
committees and the Visitor ’s nominee for Aligarh Muslim University selections
for a term of three years. Dr. Misra is listed in Indo-American who’s who.
Mr. Anil Kumar

Anil completed M Tech in Reliability Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and started
his career as a Reliability Engineer with GE India Technology, dealt with
Condition based maintenance and Life data analysis of Gas Turbines.
He moved to HCL Technologies as a Lead Engineer (Reliability), it is an
Engineering Services company for Aero, Medical, Auto and Hi-tech domains. He
has contributed mainly in the fields of Aerospace Reliability & Safety projects
and Medical equipment Reliability, Training the people in HCL on Reliability and
Safety analysis. He has been promoted as Technical Leader – Reliability in Jan 09,
His expertise in writing Reliability test protocols and safety analysis as per ARP
4761 & ARP 4754. He is also Certified Reliability Engineer from ASQ.
Presently, he started “BE Analytic Solutions LLP” to serve the client’s needs in
the field of Reliability Engineering. He also coaches people for CRE

and Managing Director in 2011 Feb and this company is officially got registered

International Journal of Performability Engineering (IJPE), which was started as
a quarterly journal in 2005 (400 printed pages in a year) will now be published
as a bimonthly journal (six times in a year, totaling 600 printed pages) from
2010 onwards in January, March, May, July, September and November, every
year. Of these six issues, one or two may be special issues on research areas of
