Further information on the connection possibilities is contained in the following sections. USB connection If a Dräger UCF 6000/7000/9000 is connected to a PC via USB connection, a USB symbol will appear on the right side of the power supply symbol on the camera screen. Functional restrictions To avoid accidents while connecting a Dräger UCF 6000/7000/9000 to a PC, the integrated laser pointer is switched off and switching on is inhibited as long as a connection to a PC exists. In addition, during a USB connection operating the camera directly is inhibited automatically. For that period of time operating a Dräger UCF 6000/7000/9000 by means of its keys will not be possible. The ON/ OFF key makes an exception. 2 General software information Intended Use With 'PC software UCF series', hereinafter called 'software', users of cameras from the Dräger UCF 6000/7000/9000 range can adapt them to their wishes accordingly. The software makes it possible, if a connection between the camera and PC has already been set up, to look at live pictures from the camera and control camera functions from the PC. The functionality of the software is subdivided into user groups. The software provides the following user groups: User Device service technician How a user is allocated to a user group is explained in the 'User administration' section. Information on the 'User' user group Users that are allocated to the 'User' user group have the functionality of the 'Deployment' tab and all its subordinate tabs available (see 'Deployment' section). It is not possible for users of this group to make permanent changes to the settings of a camera. It is possible for them to administer their own password. Further details can be found in the 'Password administration' section. Information on the 'Device service technician' user group Users that are allocated to the 'Device service technician' user group have the functions of the 'Deployment' 4 General software information and 'Camera' tabs as well as all subordinate tabs available (see 'Deployment' and 'Camera' sections). Users of this group have the possibility to make permanent changes to the settings of a camera. The permanent settings include, amongst other things, the allocation of an individual name to a camera. Furthermore, users of the 'Device service technician' user group can create, change or delete additional users in the software. You can find further information on this in the 'User administration' section. Disable password entry / activate automatic log-on To disable the password entry when starting the PC software, it is possible to activate the automatic log-on on the 'Settings' tab. You will find further information on this in the 'Settings' section under the Options menu item. 3 Deployment The 'Deployment' tab is available to the 'User' and 'Device service technician' user groups. The tab contains all functions that are of significance for the deployment and subsequent evaluation. 3.1 Live image tab On the 'Live image' tab, the live image from the camera is displayed on the left hand side of the program window if a camera is connected to the PC. Below the live image display, there are controls that make it possible to record a video and take photos as well as to adapt brightness and contrast. The 'Remote control options of the camera' group contains all functions which can be set via remote control. This includes, among others, the possibility: to switch the camera screen on/off to set the enlargement factor (only for Dräger UCF 7000/9000) to set the application mode (only for Dräger UCF 7000/9000) to set the parameter of an application mode (only for Dräger UCF 7000/9000) NOTICE If during a video recording the 'Live image' tab is closed, the video recording will be ended. 3.2 Import tab (only for Dräger UCF 7000/9000) Photos and video recordings from a Dräger UCF 7000/9000 connected via USB can be read in with the functions on the 'Import' tab and be allocated to a deployment. All photos and the contents of the circular buffer for video data are displayed at the left in the preview area of the tab (depending on whether the function is switched on, to this purpose also see 'Settings'). Additional information on a file selected on the left side is displayed on the right hand of the preview area. Controls for filtering the files displayed in the preview area and allocating them to a deployment situation (date and time) are located on the right as well. Handling of photos Creating a new deployment 5 PC-Software UCF Series - Version 2.x.x 1. Determine the deployment date. 2. Additional information is displayed when importing videos, which is included as meta data (date/time, active application mode, etc.). NOTICE The storage within the folder structure for the deployments is blocked because of the visible additional information. 3.3 Analysis tab On the 'Analysis' tab, video sequences captured with the PC software and individual photos can be subsequently evaluated after these have been allocated to a deployment. All data that was faded in at the time of recording onto the screen of the camera or to the PC is faded in again.
