‘Kinematics and control of Miniature Pneumatic air muscle developed for minimally invasive
surgery’-Master thesis 
o
o
o
o
o
Developing a miniature sized pneumatic air muscle which can actuate a surgical tool.
Inverse Kinematics and control implemented on the system.
Hyper elastic model proposed for the Mckibben actuator and validated experimentally.
Shape optimization is done on the system to understand how the tool behaves on loading.
Control equations developed by combining the results. Validated the results experimentally.

‘Experimental investigation of wire -bonded micro heat pipe’- Undergraduate thesis, May 2012 
o In house designed (patented) micro heat pipe is fabricated and charged with water.
o Design of experiments was done so as to study and understand which parameters to vary.
Different micro heat pipe were fabricated using these varied parameters and compared on basis of
effective thermal conductivity.
o Nano fluids were charged into micro heat pipe to study increase in effective thermal conductivity.
o Tried to increase Zeta potential of Nano fluids by varying nano particle used and its concentration
so as to minimize the stability issues.

‘Mobile robot guidance using proportional navigation’
o Pathgeneration algorithm for known obstacle configuration is two dimensional space.
o Path generation algorithm for moving obstacle with known acceleration and velocity.
o Algorithm optimized for shortest time.
o To be extended to three dimensional scenario


‘Optimum Part deposition orientation in Rapid Prototyping’ Academic project, April 2013 
o A code was written to convert CAD data into STL format.
o Average surface roughness was calculated form a surface roughness model and other factors such
as build time and facet error were appended to the model.
o An optimization code was written to minimize the errors and to understand the optimum
orientation for part deposition.
o Various models were tested to validate the project.


‘Modeling and simulation of snake motion using rigid links’ Course project, April 2013 
o Snake motion was modeled using number of rigid links and simulated using tractrix algorithm,
o Dynamics of the motion were studied.
o A comparative study was done between two different snake motion algorithms.


‘Design and Analysis of Mini Helicon Plasma Thruster(MHPT)’–Academic Project Dec 2011 
o Designed a simple mini helicon plasma thruster with a thrust capacity of one milli Newton.
o Gas supply system, RF system and matching network were designed and structural analysis was
done.
o Viscous flow analysis, molecular flow analysis and parametric analysis was done using
MATLAB.

‘Design and fabrication of single axis sun tracker’ – Academic project, October 2008 
o The sun tracker was designed and structural analysis was done.
o Microprocessor Atmega 8 was used to control the system.


‘Development of Stress Concentration in Breathing Cracks’-Academic Seminar, Dec 2012 
o Conducted a detailed literature survey of shaft failures.
o Mathematically studied the stresses and strains that develop during breathing crack propagation.
o Results of the study helped in interpreting the endurance life cycle of shafts with breathing crack.
