A good business school teaches management fundamentals and covers the functional areas of an organization. Whereas, a great business school transforms
the way you think, leads and gives back to the global community.
In this era of globalization, several large Indian business groups have taken over the companies abroad and Indian consumers are targeted on an international
scale. Global corporations are creating global production centers and global supply chains to feed global consumers.
To man and manage such businesses, there is a growing need for global managers. This breed of managers need to have an understanding of classical
management concepts along with the soft skills to transcend differences across cultures. The B.B.A. Hons. Programme is designed to provide a holistic
education for the managers of a global landscape.

Thoughtful pedagogy of
teaching. Practical based

Globalization and changing
dimensions of the Indian economy,
society and polity have thrown up new
challenges in law enforcement. With
crime rates shooting up high, civil
justice and cyber security systems are
under severe stress. Legal education
can thus develop the human
resources and idealism needed to
strengthen the legal system.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Ÿ
As per Gujarat University and Bar
Council of India rules and
regulations
In order to produce new-age lawyers
who will contribute to national
development and the much-needed
social change, Unitedworld has
established Unitedworld School of
Law. This law school will provide
advanced legal education to the youth
of India and make them competent to
face the challenges they will face as
modern law professionals.
The doors of Supreme courts were
barred to Indian practitioners in
1840’s. It was not before 1920s that
quality legal education became easily
accessible in India. Ever since, legal
education has been traditionally
offered as a three year graduate
degree, after successful completion of
which, the LL.B (Bachelor of law) or
B.L (Bachelor of Law) degree is
conferred upon.
For ensuring quality legal education in
India, a standard minimum curriculum
is prescribed to be taught in an
institution to be eligible for the grant of
a law degree. Periodic supervision of
law institutions is also done to evaluate
their teaching methodology and
curriculum so as to ensure that the
required standards of legal education
are being met with.
However, the structure was revised in
1987 to meet the demand of changing
times. An experiment was instituted
upon, in terms of establishing
specialized law universities. These
universities were solely devoted to
raise the academic standards of legal
education and thus the legal
profession in India.
OUR
ADVISORY
COUNCIL
LEGAL
SERVICES
CLINIC
Unitedworld School of Law cherishes
patronage of some of the most
distinguished and seasoned retired
judicial officers and highbrow senior
lawyers as advisors to our faculty as
well as our students to ensure
educational excellence. Our advisors
constantly suggest the faculty
members to devote their spare time to
research and case studies. Under the
guidance of our advisory councils, the
faculty undertakes various interactive
teaching methodologies. This keeps
the learning process beyond
mundane classroom study.
The Unitedworld School of Law under
the aegis of Gujarat State Legal
Services Authority and with the
cooperation and support of
Gandhinagar District Legal Services
authority has set up a ‘Legal Services
Clinic’ for free and competent legal
services to the residents of
surrounding villages at its college
campus, Karnavati Knowledge Village
at Uvarsad. The ceremony was
inaugurated by the Hon’ble Mr. Justice
K.S. Jhaveri who was the Chief Guest
of the function on 22nd February, 2015
Our thought pedagogy creates a
stimulating experience of comfortable
learning environment for students to
reach the pinnacle of their potential.
The main objective of this clinic is to
entertain the needs of the poor and
needy people in the neighboring
villages.
As is evident Legal Services Clinics are
intended to provide easily accessible
but free and competent legal services
to the large population living in and
around Uvarsad village which is one of
the thrust area as envisioned by the
Unitedworld. The Gandhinagar District
Legal Services Authority will
periodically send their panel
advocates to provide free legal advice
to the people. Moreover the student
volunteers will be also attempting to
resolve the disputes of the people in
the locality thereby preventing the
disputes from maturing into litigation
reducing the burden upon the already
overloaded courts.

Digital on the Roll
In the media sector, digital media continued
its rapid penetration, as indicated by the
stupendous 44.5 per cent growth in digital
advertising in 2014 over 2013. One of the
major highlights in 2014 was the
announcement of ‘Digital India: A
programme to transform India into a digitally
empowered society and knowledge
economy’ by the government. India topped
as the world’s fastest growing smart phone
market and by the end of 2014, India had
around 116 million internet enabled smart
phones and the number is expected to reach
435 million by the year 2019, almost four
times.
The print sector continues to remain a highly
fragmented space, at the national and
regional level. In 2014, the print industry
witnessed a rise in circulation revenues in tier
II and III cities, on the back of rising cover
prices and subscriptions, aided by low
media penetration, population growth and
rising income and literacy levels.
The films sector was a mixed bag in 2014
with some films creating box office records,
while several were unable to attract
audiences to the theatre and profitability was
impacted, overall. The exhibition sector saw
several players expanding their footprint;
both organically (especially in Tier II and Tier
III cities) and through acquisitions (like the
Carnival Cinema).
The radio sector saw the much awaited
movement in Phase III auctions, with the
government giving the go ahead for partial
auctions across 69 cities, where potentially
135 channels are up for grabs.
Flawless & Timely Execution of Media &
Entertainment Projects
The building blocks for future growth have
been put in place in 2014 by offerings: such
as new spectrum for mobile, ongoing
digitization in cable, consolidation in
exhibition and Phase III auctions for radio.
India now needs to ensure flawless and
timely execution of these policies.
Growth drivers for employment in the
MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT Sector
The total current employment in the Media &
Entertainment sector, including small and big
players, is estimated at 2 million, and is
projected to grow at a CAGR of 13 per cent to
reach 2.8 million by 2017. The Indian Media
and Entertainment sector which is expected
to grow at a CAGR of 13.9 per cent to reach
INR1,964 billion by 2019 has a high demand
for skilled professionals across each of its
sub-sectors. Expansion in tier 2 and 3
markets in India: Real estate developers
have shifted their focus to tier 2 and 3
markets given the rapid urbanization, low
cost of real estate, availability of land, low
advertising costs, improving standards of
living and growing spending power in these
markets.
Hiring and retaining talent
Lack of talent remains a challenge for media
segments, especially for the entertainment
industry. While there are many journalism &
media schools in India, quality remains a
challenge. Across India, approximately 35
per cent of the total people employed in the
M&E sector work with the film sector. A
majority of them are contract workers/
freelancers as opposed to full-time
employees. In the talent-driven media sector,
companies could potentially differentiate
themselves based on their ability to attract
and retain the right people (for example, in
the knowledge-intensive content
development sector or RJ-dependent radio
sector). In animation and VFX, the spike in
outsourcing activities has created demand
for professionals such as character
designers, key frame animators, 3D
modellers, layout artists, etc. Over the years,
with consumer media consumption pattern
gradually shifting towards the digital
platform, digital media has become an
important component of the M&E industry.
Consumers have gone beyond traditional TV
sets, radio sets, newspapers and magazines
for media and are increasingly using mobile
devices to access media and entertainment.
This has resulted in an increased demand for
skilled professionals such as app
developers, software testers, programmers,
etc.
chain are expected to create high demand.
The skill set required for the industry is
changing with incorporation and usage of
modern technology. The industry needs to
incentivize up-skilling of workforce to cope
up with the changes including digitization,
growth in multilingual markets, new
technologies and convergence that demand
additional skill sets for the workforce.
India’s M&E industry’s is reliance on
advertising has resulted in increased
demand for workforce in media
planning/buying, ad development and copy
writing. Professionals with training and
experience across the advertising value
Keeping all of the above in mind, the
untiedworld group is launching Institute of
Media & Communication (UIMC) as a
modern integrated digital-savvy institute of
nurturing talent for this creative industry at
Bachelors and Masters levels.
