Designed for use in both digital and analog equipment, DROs find application in LMDS, SDH/SONET, Digital Radio and other wired and wireless systems requiring high stability and low noise in an extremely small package. All models incorporate low noise transistors and a high-Q dielectric resonator. In addition, each unit is protected from variations and transients in the DC power supply by a voltage regulator. The fundamental DROs offered by CTI can be mechanically tuned by as much as 2%. Electrical tuning ranges up to 0.25% also provided. Typical phase-noise for a 5 GHz unit is -125 dBc at 100 kHz offset. Output power is normally +14 dBm with a power requirement from +12 Vdc to +15 Vdc.
