IF YOU ARE INQUIRING ABOUT OUR CHARTER COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS:
• If you have or are earning a high school degree and would like to earn a
o B.A. in Urban Learning concurrently with a credential to teach in elementary schools or a
credential in special education, go to the Division of Applied and Advanced Studies (AASE) in KH
C2098 and ask how to apply to the program.
o B.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, go to the Division of Special Education and Counseling (EDSE) in
KH C1064 and ask how to apply to the program.
• If you have or are earning a bachelor’s degree and would like to earn a credential to
o Teach in general education classes in elementary schools or
o Teach in general education classes in junior and senior high schools or
o Teach children or adults with special needs in special education and/or inclusion classrooms
o go to the Advisement Center in KH D2078 and ask how to apply to the program of your
choice.
o Be a counselor or school psychologist concurrent with an M.S. degree, go to the Division of Special
Education and Counseling (EDSC) in KH C1064 and ask how to contact professors who can help you
apply to the program.
• If you have or are earning a basic teaching credential and would like to earn a
o Specialist Credential in Reading and Literacy Leadership concurrently with an M.A. in Education,
and/or a state-issued Reading Certificate, go to the Division of Curriculum and Instruction in KH
C2097 and ask how to contact professors who can help you apply to the program.
o Administrative Services Credential, go to the Division of Applied and Advanced Studies (AASE) in
KH C2098 and ask how to contact professors who can help you apply to the program/s.
o M.A. in Education, M.A. in Special Education, M.S. in Counseling go to each of the division offices
(AASE in KH C2098, C&I in KH C2097, or EDSC in KH C1064) and ask about the M.A. programs
offered and how to contact professors who can help you be admitted to the program of your
choice.
• If you already have a master’s degree and would like to earn a doctorate go to KH C1065
o Ph.D. in Special Education
o Ed.D. in Educational Leadership
IF YOU ARE ALREADY ENROLLED IN ONE OF OUR CHARTER COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS:
• If you are earning a credential, as you go through the program, take any paper work (such as a CPR
certificate) to the Office of Student Services in King Hall D2078. (Hint: Save time and energy by taking both
the original and a photocopy of the original with you.)
• If you are earning an M.A., as you go through the program, take any paper work to the Associate Dean’s
Office in King Hall D2070.
