Since its establishment, the Institute has played a vital role in providing the technical manpower and know-how to the country and in pursuit of research. The Institute ranks amongst the best technological institutions in the world and has contributed to all sectors of technological development. It has also been considered a trend-setter in the area of education and research in the field of science, technology, and engineering. The Institute has completed 150th year of its existence in October 1996. On September 21, 2001, an Ordinance issued by the Government of India declared it as the nation's seventh Indian Institute of Technology. The Ordinance is now converted into an Act by the Parliament to make IIT, Roorkee as an "Institution of National Importance". The 11 International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS-2016) will be held at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India during 3 – 4 December 2016. The mission of the conference is to bring together academics and industrial experts in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Information Technology to a common forum, where a constructive dialog on theoretical concepts, practical ideas and results of the state of the art technology can be developed. The conference will include invited talks and contributed papers on emerging areas by eminent experts from various academic and research organizations as well as industries. In this context, we encourage submissions of high quality research papers as detail is given in topic of interest. It is a tentative list, but the area of a scope is not limited to these topics. th Patron Prof. Pradipta Banerji, Director, IIT Roorkee Conference Chair Prof. Dharmendra Singh Topics of Interest Topics of interest of ICIIS 2016 include, but are not limited to, the following areas in four distinct tracks: Electronics & Instrumentation RF and Microwave Integrated Circuits Planar Antennas Display Technology Millimeter /Microwave Imaging and Remote Sensing Healthcare & Monitoring Systems Nanoelectronics Millimeter/THz Wave Engineering Microwave Photonics andPlasmonics EMI/EMC Optoelectronics & Photonics Antenna, MM/T4 Image Any other relevant topic Information &Communication Track Machine to Machine (M2M) Communication Internet-of-Things (IoT) Enabling Technologies Satellite & Space communication& Networking Microwave Theory & Techniques Mobile & Wireless Communications WLAN, WPAN, & other Home/Personal Networking Technologies Networks Antennas, propagation, and computational electromagnetics Architectures and 5G Technologies Any other relevant topic Computer Track Automated Planning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Expert Systems & Evolutionary Algorithms Parallel Computing Data Fusion, Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery Cloud Computing Systems Reliability & Security Data Mining Sensor Networks Distributed Computing Semantic Web/Web Services Ubiquitous Computing Any other relevant topic Image & Signal Processing Track Accommodation Signal Processing Education Statistical Signal Processing Image, Video & Multi-dimensional signal Processing Radar, Sonar & Seismic Signal Processing Bio Imaging, Image Analysis & Signal Processing Any other relevant topic Robotics, Control & Automation Track Man-Machine Interactions Industrial Field Bus Systems Autonomous Systems Control of Electrical Machines Electric Vehicles Vision Guided Systems Distributed Systems Advanced Topics in Control Systems Any other relevant topic Stealth Application Track Radar Absorbing Materials Nano Materials RCS Reduction Polymers and Composites Frequency Selective Surfaces CNT Microwave Material Characterization & Radar Wave Application Any other relevant topic For topics not listed above, you may wish to refer to the website and call for papers of ICIIS (www.iciis2016.org) Accommodation for the participants can be arranged in IIT guest houses, hostels or in hotels in the city, as per request and availability on the charge basis.
