Putting a new
spin on the
standard GPO
HPM has released a range of
power points with patented
rotating covers.
Boosting safety performance, the
spring-loaded covers on the new ES
(extra safety) power points remain firmly
closed when not in use. To plug-in an
appliance, users simply insert the plug
into the pin holes of the safety cover and
rotate the plug anti-clockwise until the
cover aligns with the outlet underneath.
The plug can then be fully inserted.
When the plug is removed the covers
will automatically spring back to the
closed position, covering the outlet from
inquisitive young fingers and reducing the
possibility of accidents.
Available in both the Linea and Excel
plate formats, the ES power points
are poised to be a hit in family homes,
public buildings and child care facilities.
Coverplates are available in the full range
of Excel and Linea colours and finishes.
Rotating covers are available in white,
black or grey.

Dimmer technology
breakthrough!
Sparking a revolution in dimmer technology, HPM is
launching a full range of universal push button dimmers.
With the new technology, contractors are now able to dim
a load 2 ways thanks to the inclusion of a secondary (or
slave) mechanism (450SM) within the new range. And,
with no accompanying switches required, up to 6 dimmer
mechanisms can be easily installed on a standard 6
gang plate. Standard light switches can also easily be
upgraded to a dimmer - contractors simply exchange the
switch mechanisms for a new dimmer mechanism.
Available in white, cream, black and matt silver (with
either white or black trim), the dimmers work with both
electronic and iron core transformers for greater flexibility
and can be retrofitted onto existing HPM plates.
