ESAB – Victor Integration / FAQs General FAQs As a distributor, what changes should I expect from the acquisition? ESAB’s acquisition of Victor brings together two premier organizations with more than 200 years of combined experience. The joining of ESAB and Victor provides a breadth of world class products, offering a broad array of solutions to end users. The acquisition strengthens ESAB’s competitive position and expands the brand offering in 80 countries with manufacturing across four continents. Together, ESAB and Victor will provide more value for our customers. Will your product offering change? All product lines are being evaluated and while there will be changes in the portfolio, these changes will give our distributor network the products needed to support the key markets they are engaged in. We will continue to provide current products that are available from both companies until full product integration takes place. Product integration will focus on products/brands that are best suited for the particular market/region. What happens if my product is obsoleted? Will I still be able to order spares/wares? Any decision made to alter, discontinue, or replace a product will be weighed carefully. In a business as usual fashion, older products may be replaced with new models or more recent upgrades. If the product you order from ESAB or Victor reaches the end of its life cycle, spares or replacement parts will be available for a certain period of time. Will you be closing facilities? We are in the process of relocating ESAB’s manufacturing for gas apparatus and manual plasma products from our Florence, South Carolina facility to facilities in Denton, Texas and Hermosillo, Mexico. We did so to enhance our production capability and improve our operation efficiency to enable faster delivery of ESAB and Victor gas apparatus and manual plasma products to the world market. Our sales organizations are in the process of being integrated. For now, your sales contact does not change. If there are changes that affect you, a notification will be sent out immediately. Will my ordering process change? NO. Your ordering process does not change. You are welcome to place orders for Victor or ESAB products with either company. We will ensure to get your order to the right place. Does this mean you are now one Company? Full integration of ESAB and Victor will take some time. Along the way, we will be doing our best to make this integration as seamless as possible and will keep our customers and channel partners aware of any news. As for now, we will be operating as two separate companies. What phone number do I call for general business information? Both ESAB and Victor existing phone numbers will have an updated automated prompt menu directing your call to the appropriate department. Product Specific FAQs Specifically to Gas apparatus and Manual Plasma products, what changes can we expect? We are in the process of rationalizing both products lines. With the announcement of the Florence facility relocating Gas Apparatus and Manual Plasma, there are products that will be discontinued beginning st December 31 . Below is a list of products and product families that are affected: • PowerCut systems • Oxweld, Purox and Prest-O-Lite standard outfits, manual torches, regulators and accessories What Products will continue to be sold? • All manual plasma consumables including shields, nozzles, electrodes and other torch wear parts • Manual Plasma Torches • Manual Plasma and Gas Apparatus repair parts • Steel Industry products (SIP) portfolio ESAB Welding & Cutting Products / esabna.com GEN-27058 • All Gas Apparatus consumables including Oxweld, Purox and Prest-O-Lite cutting tips, heating and welding heads • Mechanized Standard Oxweld Torches (C-67s, etc.) Will there be replacement products for the items being discontinued? Yes. There will be conversion charts distributed to ensure you and your customers choose the right replacement. All internal sales support will be well trained and able to give guidance if needed. (e.g. PowerCuts replaced by Cutmasters, Oxweld/Purox/POL standard products replaced by Victor/Turbo Torch Gas Apparatus) Since some of these items are moving to other manufacturing facilities where will I need to send my purchase order? The process for you to send in your purchase order for ESAB items that are being manufactured elsewhere will go unchanged. We have put processes in place to be able to handle these orders either through ESAB or Victor Technologies. Will any part numbers change? No. The existing Victor replacement product remains as it is today. Will my price change? No. If you are an existing Victor Technologies customer, you will see no change to pricing on your gas apparatus and manual plasma equipment.
