SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS • Be Safety Consious! Read the product label before mixing and applying. Follow the label instructions. Remember: The label is Federal Law. • Sprayers hold 4 gallons of liquid, and have been calibrated to spray about 1/10 acre for the average applicator. However, calibration varies by applicator. If diluting based on a gallonsper-acre rate, you should calibrate the sprayer for yourself. • Do not lean over with backpack on, as there is a hole in the center of the lid. • Avoid spraying around desirable vegetation (trees, shrubs, flowers, etc.). Avoid spraying around water, or areas with high water tables, unless specifically permitted by the herbicide label. • To minimize risk to bees and butterflies, and to reduce potential of herbicide drift, limit spraying to the early morning and evening hours. • Herbicide will not inhibit seed production of flowers already beginning to produce seed. Remove and bag the seed- and flower-heads from these plants before spraying to prevent seed-spread. • After spraying herbicide, wash yourself and your clothing thoroughly with soap and hot water. Wash spray clothes separately from other laundry and line dry. Discard any clothing soiled with herbicide.
