Environmental performance and economic efficiency packaged
in beautiful styling.
There are some things that cannot be compromised as long as the HINO 300 wears the HINO badge. One of these is
its world-class environmental performance. DPR (Diesel Particulate active Reduction system) is one of the advanced
technologies that HINO has been able to achieve only because we had been reducing emission levels and improving
fuel efficiency to develop trucks that were environmentally friendly and economically efficient long before environmental
conservation became a social issue. And we have added a new engine equipped with DPR, the EURO 4 engine, to
our lineup. Equipped with the latest technologies including common rail fuel injection, cool EGR and the DPR cleaner
(collects 95% of soot), all of which are controlled in a collaborated manner, the engine complies with Japan’s new
long-term emission regulations, the strictest emission regulation in the world. Needless to say, its styling was
designed to suit its environment-friendly performance. The cab expresses the HINO style and its aerodynamic form
contributes to fuel efficiency and blends in with urban and natural landscapes. The reason why the HINO 300 series
exudes a presence that makes it feel greater than a light-duty truck could be because we have absolute confidence
in its excellent environmental performance, economic efficiency and aesthetic beauty.

The HINO 300 series is equipped with the latest EURO 4 compliant N-series engine which delivers excellent environmental
performance with abundant power. The engine incorporates the cool EGR system as well as HINO’s unique DPR (Diesel
Particulate active Reduction system) to improve its environmental performance to meet the needs of the new age. In addition
to being fuel efficient and quiet, the engine also delivers a resilience that allows it to be driven smoothly around the town.
The cab of the HINO 300 series is full of ideas that allow the driver to drive in comfort. Its interior is spacious with abundant
head clearance and laid out to give the driver as much room as possible. Its seats and trim are made of material with colors
that users will not tire of easily, and provide a level of comfort beyond its class. The large windshield and side windows that
extend towards the front provide excellent vision so drivers can drive with peace of mind even in narrow streets. Its rigid
frame made of 6-mm plates reduces vibration and noise transmission to improve the quietness in the cabin.

Its body embodies HINO’s commitment to safety.
HINO’s commitment to developing a safety system that provides both active safety for preventing accidents from occurring
and passive safety to ensure safety in the event of an accident also comes from its philosophy. The glass area has been
increased to secure a wider field of vision and wide angle mirrors are used. The steering wheel is designed to absorb
impact energy during head-on collision and all models are fitted with steering columns that collapse forward to reduce the
force of impact. We have also enlarged the door beam to secure the driver’s survival space. As you can see, the HINO 300
series is equipped with numerous features that derive from its safety philosophy.

The HINO 300 series employs a forward tilting cab that allows for easy maintenance and inspections. It also features an air
filter that is easy to remove. Other careful attention to ease of inspection and maintenance is also evident in the brake fluid
and washer fluid tanks that are fitted inside the cab for easy inspection.

There are solid reasons why the HINO 300 series is able to drive nimbly around town and powerfully on the highway. The truck
is equipped with the latest N-series engine that delivers both environmental performance and abundant power; a newly
developed transmission that improves driving performance and fuel consumption; and an aerodynamic styling which has been
designed based on numerous wind tunnel tests. Its form, devoid of all redundancy and yet dynamic, makes thorough use of
flush surfaces with its smooth front face design and one-piece press molded door. These features not only contribute to driving
performance, but also improve fuel efficiency and reduce wind noise. By bringing together these elements that are underpinned
by HINO’s innovative technologies, the HINO 300 series is able to deliver smart and powerful driving performance.

With superb driving performance, a suspension that is both highly rigid and flexible at the same time, and a rigid
frame made of 6-mm plates usually reserved for medium-duty trucks for durability and rigidity, the HINO 300 series
can take on the most demanding tasks in its stride. The cab has been treated for rust resistance and will retain its
bright appearance for many years to come.
