Board-certified in family practice with appropriate recertification, Dr. Birnbaum was in clinical practice 1974 through 2011. He attended medical school at the University of Louisville and completed a residency in family practice at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y. He was the director of medical education at the U.S. Air Force, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, from 1972 to 1974. Dr. Feinstein received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He then completed residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Rochester Medical Center as well as a fellowship in reconstructive urology at the Middlesex Hospital in London, England. Dr. Feinstein is board- certified in urology and practiced urology in Rochester for many years, including an appointment as the chief of urology at the former Genesee Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. He is a member of the American Urologic Association and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Feinstein served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps, where he was the assistant chief of surgery at the 1st USAF Hospital. Griepp, MD, is the chief medical officer for behavioral health and focuses on adult psychiatry for Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Boardcertified in psychiatry, Dr. Griepp maintains a private practice in psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University and entered the family medicine residency at Marquette University in Michigan. Dr. Griepp completed her psychiatry residency and a neuropsychiatry fellowship at the University of Rochester. Dr. Justice has published articles in peer review journals, served on national spine care guideline development committees and presented on spine care, quality improvement, pathway development and optimal interdisciplinary spine care. Dr. McCarthy earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
