COMPANY PROFILE
WATERAX‘s mission is to design, manufacture and supply innovative portable pumps and water-handling
equipment tailored specifically to withstand the rigors of rugged applications and environments. These include
forestry, urban and marine fire control markets, as well as construction, flood control and many others.
Best known for the MARK-3® and the BB-4®, high-pressure, portable, centrifugal pumps, which are benchmarks in
the wildland firefighting community, WATERAX also manufactures a broad range of portable pumps, backpack
pumps, control panels and other related water-handling products.
Key to WATERAX‘s progress has been ongoing feedback and collaboration stemming from its large network of
firefighters, agencies and government clients.
WATERAX pumps are built to last, and many, sold decades ago, are still in operation. The company has thus also
built up a sophisticated parts and service infrastructure to support them. WATERAX products are distributed and
serviced in over 40 countries through a network of dealers, distributors and Original Equipment Manufacturer
(OEM) partners.

COMPANY HISTORY
WATERAX has a long and exciting history which traces its roots back to the 1920s,
when Watson Jack & Co. began manufacturing a powerful, 200 PSI portable fire pump
named the Wajax Pump. The Montreal-based company grew and prospered and eventually
acquired a controlling interest in F.H. Hopkins in 1951. B.J. Coghlin Co. Ltd. acquired the
two organizations in 1954 and merged them into a single subsidiary named Watson Jack
Hopkins Ltd., which in 1959, was renamed Wajax Equipment Ltd.
In 1964 Wajax Ltd. acquired Pacific Marine’s fire division and changed its name to
Pacific Pumpers Inc. This move solidified Wajax Ltd.’s position as North America’s leading
forest fire protection products manufacturer. That year, the company also introduced the
MARK-3® brand, which rapidly became the standard wildland portable fire pump used by
forestry agencies around the world.
In the early 80’s Pacific Pumpers changed its name to Wajax-Pacific Fire
Equipment Inc. In the ensuing years the company expanded beyond
its wildland fire-control client base to become an industry-leading
manufacturer of firefighting equipment for the US industrial and marine
markets as well. In 1983, Wajax Ltd. set up its Fire Control Division, which
combined Wajax-Pacific Fire Equipment Inc. and Montreal based Wajax
Manufacturing. Events heated up during the coming years and in 1995,
Wildfire Fire Equipment Inc., a newly formed company, purchased Wajax
Ltd.’s Fire Control Division.
In 2000, Ansul, a division of Tyco International acquired the Wildfire business, but later sold the company to the current
owners in 2010. Since then, the company has invested considerable resources and energy into expanding its product line,
distribution infrastructure and service network.
To accommodate the spike in activity, the head office and manufacturing operation was moved to a new Montreal based
facility in 2013. The following year, the company changed its name to WATERAX Inc., to better reflect the growing uses
of its portable pumps.

Innovative Quick Release Clamp
WATERAX’s innovative pump end quick release clamp provides
ease of maintenance without having to disassemble the complete
unit, thus significantly reducing equipment downtime, which can
prove crucial in emergency situations.
Convenient 2-in-1 System
WATERAX’s 2-in-1 system enables the easy interchanging
of pump ends in the field. The platform is also compatible with
either a high pressure or a mid-range pump end, providing
users with maximal performance flexibility at the lowest
possible cost.

THE WATERAX PLATFORM
WATERAX offers of a complete line of high performance pump ends suited to meet the most difficult water handling
requirements. The WATERAX platform is composed of a low maintenance drive assembly, a Mid-Range pump end
and three high pressure pump ends. The platform’s unique feature is its quick release clamp system which allows for the
hook up of any WATERAX pump end to its drive assembly as well as almost instantaneous pump end detachment and
interchange. This reduces equipment downtime, increase its felxibility and significantly cuts costs. These components are
ideal for original equipment manufacturers looking to adapt high quality pump ends to their respective fire apparatus.
High Pressure Pump Ends
The WATERAX High Pressure centrifugal pump ends are
offered in 4-stage, 3-stage, and 2-stage configurations.
They deliver pressure up to 440PSI (30.3 BAR) and flows
reaching 106 GPM (401 L/min) and are ideal pump ends
for moving water over long distance and high elevation.
18-16S / 3-Stage
In addition, all these pump ends have interchangeable
spare parts. This helps keep inventory levels and costs
low while maximizing the utility and versatility of each
stored part. The quality, reliability and durability of these
pump ends are what makes them the most trusted in the
fire industry.

Mid-Range Pump End
The WATERAX B2XTM is a Mid-Range 2-stage centrifugal pump end that delivers pressure
up to 200 PSI (13.8 BAR) and flows reaching 300 US GPM (1136 L/min). A strong show of
pressure and volume it is the ideal pump end for dual attack lines dedicated to wildland &
urban interface operations.
It is also perfect for high volume remote watering, booster line applications, brush trucks,
slip-on units and for uphill tandem operations. The suction and discharge use a combination
of Victaulic and national pipe threads to facilitate its plumbing.
Drive Assembly
WATERAX offers an outstanding drive assembly that boosts the performance of pump
ends. The drive assembly increases the speed of pump revolutions resulting in increased
pressure and volume. The drive assembly is used with the WATERAX quick release clamp
to enable the coupling of the drive assembly to the desired pump end.

The MARK-3® is the flagship pump of the WATERAX line. It
is driven by a powerful, yet lightweight, 2-stroke engine and is
ideal when high pressures over long distances are required while
maintaining one person portability.
The BB-4® Series is a full line of high pressure centrifugal pumps that
has been used by forest agencies for over 40 years. It has become the
weapon of choice in wildland operations. The BB-4 pairs a 4-stage
centrifugal pump end with a choice of Briggs & Stratton 18HP and
23HP or Honda 21HP engines.
The BB-4® Diesel is used by forest agencies for Type 6 brush
trucks. The BB-4® Diesel comes in a horizontal pump drive mount
as standard with a vertical drive mount optional. It is powered by
the Kubota D902 Super Mini-Series 3-cylinder liquid cooled diesel
engine.
B2X
TM
SERIES
The B2XTM Series is the new Mid-Range pump platform that delivers
the best performance of its class. A strong show of both pressure
and volume it is idea for dual attack lines operations, high volume
remote water transfer and structural firefighting. The B2XTM pairs a
2-stage centrifugal pump end with a choice of Briggs & Stratton
18HP and 23HP or Honda 21HP engines.
The B2XTM Diesel comes in a horizontal pump drive mount

The STRIKERTM series is powered by reliable, fuel-efficient, and
easy-to-use 4-stroke Honda engine paired to a 2-stage or 3-stage
high performance pump end. Applications include cabin protection,
skid units, and snow-making.

VERSAX
The VERSAX® is a versatile, rugged, and economical twin impeller
self-priming pump. This unit is driven by a 6HP or 9HP Honda engine.
Its compact design makes it ideal for a variety of applications such
as firefighting, tank filling, water transfers and ATV slip-ons.
MINISTRIKER
The MINI-STRIKER® pump pairs a reliable single stage pump end
with the Honda 4-stroke 2.5 HP engine. Extremely portable and
lightweight, this mini powerhouse performs well when used by
itself or in tandem with other pumps, and is a very popular choice
for entry-level slip-on applications.

The RANCHER® series is designed for use on ATVs and
other small utility vehicles. Compact and lightweight,
these units enable rapid access to remote areas beyond

flexible tank and are equipped with an ergonomic pistol grip and

performance 4-stage pump end and a 185cc 10 hp 2-stroke engine, this impressive workhorse can achieve pressures of up to 380 PSI (26.2 BAR)
and flow rates reaching 98 US GPM (371 L/Min). It is designed to withstand the rigors and extreme conditions of wildland firefighting and is the
most trusted and time-tested pump in the industry. Appreciated for its ability to maintain high pressure over extraordinary distances and elevation,

pump end with a powerful Kubota D902-E4B 3-Cylinder Fuel Injected Liquid Cooled
25 HP Diesel Engine to achieve pressures of up to 395 PSI (27.2 bar) and flow rates
reaching 106 GPM (401 L/Min). Strong enough to operate as a source pump for tandem
and parallel pumping, it is also optimal for direct attack firefighting, remote watering,
sprinkler systems, and is a popular choice for slip-on units.
The WATERAX quick release clamp provided on the BB-4® pump lets you replace
a damaged pump end in the field with minimal equipment downtime. The 4-stage pump
end on the BB-4® is identical to the pump end on the MARK-3® unit, which greatly

THE WATERAX ENGINEERING TEAM
Frederic Lefrancois
VP of Product Development
Frederic leads efforts to research and develop innovative and durable pumps that can move water for
generations. An engineer by trade, Frederic has led multidisciplinary teams and successfully managed ambitious
projects for more than 15 years.
The WATERAX engineering team’s success stems from synergy between three key components: people,
process & technology.
People
At WATERAX we believe that winning teams are composed of skilled, complementary individuals who share a common goal and who bring
experience, drive and passion to the table. Our core expertise includes mechanical, hydraulic and industrial design, combined with specialization
in power trains, software & electronics.
Process
WATERAX has integrated a Stage-GateTM product development process that
guides us from conception to production. Daily meetings, inspired by the Agile
development philosophy, enable us to align priorities and ensure effective
communication within the team. We are also big believers in value engineering
(VE) which helps us offer best value products to our customers.
Technology
All our engineers are proficient in 3D modeling and use of SolidworksTM software. We
use computer-aided design (CAD) and rapid prototyping to accelerate development
cycles. In 2013 we finalized implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics Enterprise
Resource Planning system that greatly improved organizational efficiency.
Our recent move to our new facility provided a perfect opportunity to modernize
our equipment and to invest in a state-of-the-art pump test room and R&D lab that
significantly enhance our development capabilities.
With our strong engineering team and our new manufacturing facility, we are

Jeff Sadler, Chief Product Engineer
Jeff joined WATERAX as Chief Product Engineer and he is leading our pump development initiatives. He
brings with him over 20 years of industry experience. Before joining the organization, Jeff spent the last
15 years at Hale Products Inc. and spent another 5 years prior with National Foam (Fire Truck Division).
All OEM’s who have worked with Jeff in the past know that he delivers first class customer support. His drive
and know-how have led to successful project implementations with truck OEM’s, fire departments, and fire
boat manufacturers.
Norith Tan, Lead Product Engineer
Norith has been with the company since 2005 and possesses an in-depth knowledge of every WATERAX
product. As a mechanical engineer, he has developed a solid expertise in design, combustion engines, powertrain,
and fluid dynamics. Norith’s passion is to create solutions to the real world challenges that firefighters face
every day and to delight them with exceptional products.
Rabih Bouyakdan, Product Engineer
Rabih has been with the team since 2012 and brings mechanical design expertise. As a mechanical engineer he
is responsible for the development of the WATERAX components used by OEM’s for their vehicle mounted
applications. Rabih is continuously looking for new ways to improve WATERAX design with the greatest and
latest SolidworksTM has to offer.
Jonathan Bousquet, Production Engineer
Jonathan joined the WATERAX team in 2010. As a mechanical engineer he is responsible for establishing
and improving our manufacturing and assembly processes. In short, he is the bridge between the development
team and the production. He ensures that we are manufacturing at the right cost and that our products meet
or exceed our stringent quality standards.
Steve Bisson, Production Manager
Steve has been with the company since 1994. He has an Aerospace machining degree and he is familiar
with Six SigmaTM and Lean ManufacturingTM methodologies. As Production Manager, he is responsible for the
planning and the production of all WATERAX products. With a solid background in metrology he is also in
charge of our quality control.

Marcello Iacovella
VP of Sales and Business Development
Marcello joined the Company under WAJAX Manufacturing in 1995 and pursued a strategic roadmap
within the organization which led him to grow on the sales and marketing side of the business. Being
responsible for all sales and business development, including international, Marcello’s aim is to ensure
that customer needs are matched with targeted WATERAX solutions.
Chris Efta, National Sales Manager
Chris joined the WATERAX team as our USA National Sales Manager bringing with him the keys to
success within the fire industry. With over a decade of regional and professional sales experience, he
will be at the helm of the USA WATERAX sales team charting a course to deliver wide-ranging water
handling solutions. From early on, Chris’s passion has been and always will be the fire industry. Those who
worked with him can easily say his passion to provide excellent service is second to none.
Marvin Johns, Regional Sales Manager
Marvin is our South Central USA Regional Sales Manager, focusing WATERAX OEM and Dealers
accounts. He holds an Engineering and Business degree from Oklahoma State University. Aside from
his proven track record in OEM sales, Marvin brings to WATERAX a wealth of knowledge in product
development. The OEMs and Dealers who have worked with Marvin know that he is committed to serving
the fire community with professionalism and great care.
Mario Janson, Regional Sales Manager
Mario is responsible for all WATERAX key accounts in Eastern Canada. Having spent 10 years in the
Royal Canadian Navy as a Marine Engineering Technician, Mario acquired expertise in many types of
systems from steam propulsion to gas turbine and all auxiliary including LP, HP air. Although his background
is outside the fire industry, he’s a natural when it comes to ‘moving water’.
Mike Guterson, Regional Sales Manager
Mike is a seasoned veteran of the WATERAX team having joined WAJAX in the mid -1970s. Based
in Edmonton, Alberta, Mike focuses on providing comprehensive water handling expertise to our North
Western Canadian customer base, including our Prairie Provinces. In addition to overseeing our branch
activities, over the years Mike has come to forge very strong relationships with our customers given his
dedication and passion servicing the fire and industrial community.

Minimum Charge
We will be pleased to accept all orders. Due to the cost of handling
an order, a $45.00 service charge, plus any applicable taxes and/or
transportation charges, will apply to all orders of less than $250.00.
The minimum order will be waived if merchandise is purchased on

Credit Card Payment
WATERAX accepts payment by credit card (Visa or MasterCard)
up to a maximum of $25,000 per order. A surcharge of 3.5% will
apply to any credit card charge over $25,000. Maximum amount
per credit card transaction is $50,000.
Delivery
We constantly strive to maintain an extensive inventory to service
your needs. Every effort will be made to ship in a timely manner.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary set forth in any purchase
order or distributor agreement, passage of title and risk of loss will
transfer to the buyer from WATERAX upon shipment from any
designated WATERAX warehouse or supplier location, unless
otherwise specifically agreed upon by WATERAX and the buyer
in writing for a specific shipment (in which case such exception
only applies to the particular shipment in question and not any
subsequent shipments).
Shipments will be made freight prepaid with shipping and freight
charges added to the invoice unless buyer freight account number
is provided. We may make partial shipments and each shipment
may be treated separately for purposes of invoicing. Our count and
weight taken at the shipping point shall govern. Delivery schedules

for any delays in delivery.
Packaging and Handling Fee
WATERAX will add the cost of packaging and handling, with the
minimum charge of $5.00 for each order received.
Shortages or Damaged Merchandise
Any shortage, damage or error in shipment should be reported to us
immediately upon receipt of good and at the latest within 10 days
after delivery. All packages should be carefully inspected for visible
damage prior to acceptance from the carrier and delivery refused or
damage noted when signing for receipt of packages.
Returned Goods
Please contact our customer service department with full details
concerning the return of any goods and the issuance of a Return
Goods Authorization number (RGA). Material returned for reasons
other than defective replacement will carry a handling and restocking charge equal to 20% of the invoice price of such merchandise.
Material must be in new and original condition subject to inspection, and returned freight prepaid.
Note: all special orders, being non-stocked items purchased on
special order are to be considered non-cancellable and nonreturnable. Such sales are therefore final.

WATERAX LIMITED WARRANTY
WHEREAS subject to the following general and specific terms and conditions, WATERAX Inc. (the “Seller”) hereby warrants to the original
purchaser of the products from WATERAX, (the “Purchaser”) that its products, including any pump parts products manufactured by WATERAX
(the “Products”) sold under Seller’s brands will be free of defects in material and workmanship for the applicable Warranty Period (as set out in
full at www.waterax.com/eng/warranty).

1. Limitations, exclusions and other terms and conditions applicable for all Products:
a. The Warranty shall be voided upon the occurrence of any of the following events: (a) the Product is used for an application, with products or in
a manner other than the application, products and manner for which such Product is designed and intended; (b) the Product is subjected to a
use, service, condition or environment other than a use, service, condition or environment for which such Product is designed and intended;
(c) the Product is not properly installed by the Purchaser or its agent or representative; (d) the Product is not properly tested and maintained in
accordance with Seller’s product manuals and supplemental instructions and guidelines, applicable industry standards and guidelines, and
applicable legal and regulatory requirements; (e) the Product is altered, modified, serviced (with the exception of routine maintenance
performed in accordance with the Seller’s product manuals and supplemental instructions as set out in full at www.waterax.com/eng/warranty,
and industry accepted standards and guidelines), or repaired by a person other than the Seller or a person authorized by the Seller to make
such alteration or modification or perform such service or repair; (f) the Seller is not paid the full amount of the purchase price for the
Product when due; (g) any bad faith invocation of a warranty claim or breach of a purchase agreement by the Purchaser.
b. The following are excluded from Warranty coverage: (a) non-defective parts worn, exhausted or consumed through normal usage of the
Product; (b) any consumable parts normally subject to routine replacement, including but not limited to pump packing, O-rings, gaskets,
intake screens, anodes or filters; (c) routine maintenance as specified and in accordance with the Seller’s product manuals and supplemental
instructions and guidelines as set out in full at www.waterax.com/eng/warranty; (d) failure due to compliance with a specification or
design provided or required by Purchaser; (e) failure due to improper operation, excess pressure, excess voltage, abuse, misuse, negligence
or accidents or other similar causes; (f) failure due to operator error; (g) damage during or after shipment and failure attributable thereto
or resulting there from; (h) failure attributable to or resulting from the failure or substandard, inadequate or improper performance of any
part, component or equipment not supplied by the Seller; (i) failure attributable to or resulting from the failure or substandard, inadequate
or improper performance of any third party part, component, product or equipment, whether or not combined, packaged, incorporated,
installed or used with a Seller brand part, component, product or equipment.
2. Claim Procedure. The claim procedure applicable under this warranty, including any applicable notice and documentation requirements, are set
out in full at www.waterax.com/eng/warranty and constitute an essential term of this Warranty.
3. Repaired and Replacement Product. If requested to do so by the Purchaser the Seller may, at its sole option and in its sole discretion, supply
a replacement Product or part to the Purchaser prior to making a final determination as to whether Warranty Coverage is available.
If the Seller ultimately determines that no Warranty Coverage is available for a Product claimed to be defective, the Purchaser shall have the
option of either (a) having the Product returned to it freight collect without repair or replacement; or (b) if Seller determines that the Product is
repairable, have the Product repaired by Seller or another party designated by it on a time and materials basis at Seller’s then current standard
charges for non-warranty repairs and then returned to Purchaser freight collect. The Seller reserves the right to use reconditioned parts for
Warranty repairs and to use reconditioned Products for Warranty replacements. Repaired Product and replacement Product shall be warranted
only for the remainder of the original Warranty Period.
4. Limitation of Liability: SELLER’S WARRANTY AS SET FORTH HEREIN IS SELLER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY, COURSE OF
DEALING, USAGE OF TRADE, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE RIGHTS AND REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN
ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS AND REMEDIES AGAINST SELLER, EXCEPT FOR THE SPECIFIC LIABILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS PROVIDED
HEREIN, SELLER SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR OBLIGATION WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT CLAIMED TO BE DEFECTIVE IN ANY MANNER.
